“When I started my first journal I had a very clear idea, just like I was used
to. I have an idea, and I think it through and finish it in my head, without any actual drawing. Only
once everything is done in my head, I realize this final sketch from the idea in my head. So actually I never really changed anything except looking at some details. I was completely fixed
and limited to this one idea.“

“This is how it works: She lies in this cloud, with the thoughts surrounding her, like in a bed, almost buried - I also thought it is as if she were diving into this cloud.
It's like breaking the surface of the water from above. And doing this, you dive into a totally different world,
which makes your thoughts weave into each other, so you are away from our normal world, making some sort

“At the beginning I found it rather difficult... well, first I liked the idea, and I was a bit confused. Because
really it's just, I copied but it's not, it hasn't moved me, in any case. So I said to myself now I've copied it

“What I wanted to do was to emphasize the feelings that are in there with colour and the stroke of the brush. The pencil sketches lack vivacity. The photos too. I studied Arnulf Rainer's pictures, for example, who works a lot with the brush strokes and through them reinforces feelings, and that's what I wanted to use in my pictures.” (excerpt from interview)
