Preface
On 13-14 Sep, 2014, I attended a program
titled “Success Seminar” organized by
Success-Gyan (India) in partnership with
Success-Resources (Singapore). It was a
huge seminar and I got the chance to listen
to 12 speakers belonging to 12 different
areas of life. Some of the leading speakers
of the seminar were:
1. Mr. Robert Kiyosaki (author of the
bestselling book 'Rich Dad Poor Dad')
2. Mr. Mahatria RA (author of the
bestselling book 'Unposted Letter').
3. Les Brown (World's leading
motivational speaker)
4. J. T. Fox (World's #1 wealth coach)
I was very happy after attending this
seminar. In that seminar, there was an author
from Canada, Mr. Gerry Robert who spoke

on the subject of “How to write a book”.
This section was my favorite.
After one month, Mr. Gerry Robert
was organizing a special training program
on “Book-Writing” in New Delhi on 18
October. I had already written and published
two books, but even then I made up my
mind to attend his training session as I liked
his dedication and the way he taught his
audience.
When I reached the venue for Mr.
Gerry Robert's Signature Program, I found
the environment very exciting & full of
energy. I met there people from different
backgrounds and walks of life. Next to me,
was sitting a C.A. Who had already
published a book on 'Risk Management'.
I also saw there a Dance Teacher.
Then I realized that so many people in our
society have a dream of writing a book &
publishing it. But only a small number of
them could afford to avail such types of
opportunities in Metro Cities.

That day, when I returned to my
home, I said to myself that I will write a
book for aspiring writers and assist them in
realizing their dreams. Finally I am very
happy today because this book titled “How
to Write a Book in 45 Days” has helped
thousands of aspiring authors to begin their
journey with their very first book.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my Pyari Bhanji
“Sanu Bansal”. Because when my book
“Path To Existence” was released, she took
my book to her school and told everyone
that her mama has written this book. She is
in class 3rd. Her little cute action that day,
will always be an emotional moment for me.

write because I am inspired.”
- Ankit Agrawal

only one qualification that you require and
that qualification is that you should have
nothing but a burning desire to write a book.
For your book writing journey, you will
have to break some old belief systems and
should clear following concepts first and

that it is important for you to

If you sometimes feel that this is a

you are no more.
2. The making of an Author:
The making of an author is based on below

on your true path.

Unshakable faith
Vision
5. Break the Old Belief System:
I should not write as I have no
language command.

telling talent.
I should not write because writers are
born by birth.
6. Think out of Box:
I will write because it is my dream to
write my book.
I will write because my inspirations
will develop my skills.
I will write because I cannot say
good-bye to this world with my
dreams remaining unfulfilled.

CHAPTER - 2
Not Writing Skill But
Inspiration & Discipline
The first question that comes to the mind of
the aspiring authors is, “What does it take to
write a book?”
They take their steps back thinking that:
1. It takes good writing skill (but it
does not, it takes a dream).
2. It takes a good vocabulary (but it
does not, it takes discipline).
3. It takes a talent of imagination (but
it does not, it takes emotions).
So, my dear friends don’t let go of your
dreams so easily. What it takes to write a
book is already there in you:
1. You just need to focus on your
dream,
Ankit Agrawal

2. You just need to impose some
discipline on you and
3. You just need to live your
emotions.
When you start working on your book, all
the necessary tools will gradually become
available to you. You will develop your
writing skill as you progress. And you will
get the right words for your writing, in
whatever you read in your daily life.
So, don’t worry about these
unnecessary things and think about just
these Three Pillars, which are: Dream,
Discipline & Emotions.
Let me describe each pillar and its
connection to help you start & complete you
first book:
1. Dream
Whatever we see around ourselves, is the
result of someone’s dream. Any creation
first takes place in the mind of human-being,
after that it comes into reality. Therefore, in
order for you to write a book, you should

7
first have this dream that you are going to
write a book & publish it.
2. Discipline
Writing a book is not a Rocket-Science.
Once you have a dream to write a book, then
you should start writing daily for a specific
period of time on a regular basis. And you
should strictly stick to your daily writing
target religiously. And this is the discipline,
which plays the most crucial part in starting
with your book, getting ahead with your
book and working with your book till
completion.
Without discipline, no writer in the
world can realize his dream of completing
his book.
3. Emotions
You are thinking, “If I want to become a
good writer, I should have the imagination
power to cook up a story”. Due to this, you
get discouraged and don’t get started with
your book writing project.
Ankit Agrawal
8 Sample Copy. Not for Distribution.
In the initial state, don’t get trapped in
the technicalities of book writing. You don’t
need a talent of cooking up a scene or a
story, all you need, is emotion. And the truth
is that God has endowed every human-being
on this earth with this gift of emotions.
If you can feel for your dream, if you
can feel your strong emotions, then just trust
them and start working on your book. Don’t
bother at the first stage; you can always edit
what you have written. But you can never
edit what you haven’t written.
So first let the content flow from you.
Be it in sequence or in complete chaos. Just
keep on writing, keep on writing, don’t
arrange, just keep on writing because this is
all you need to start with, for your first
book.

CHAPTER - 3
Making The Working Plan
Now since writing a book has become a
burning desire for you & you are ready to
follow the path of dream, discipline and
emotions, the next step for you is to plan
your book writing journey.
Planning your writing project is a
very important step in book writing. You
should not just jump-start without making
any plan. You could end up messing your
whole project.
There are following topics which you
should plan in advance before you begin
your book writing journey:-
1. In how many days, do I want to
see my book completed?
2. In how many pages, do I want to
see my book printed?
Ankit Agrawal
10 Sample Copy. Not for Distribution.
3. What should be the theme of my
book?
4. What should be the title of my
book?
5. How many chapters should I have
in my book?
6. How much lengthy should an
average chapter of my book be?
7. How much should I write on a
daily basis to complete my book in
stipulated time?
8. Where will I write?
9. When will I write and for how
much time?
10. What will be the key benefits of
my book to my readers?
Once you note down the answers to above
10 questions, you are ready to crystallize
your project and work on it.

CHAPTER - 4
Finalizing And Making A Goal
After planning the title, theme & writing
duration of your book, you should make
various goals regarding completion of the
book. The difference between a dream and a
goal is that dream does not have a date
attached with it whereas the goal has.
Since, you have decided that you are
going to complete your book in 45 days,
now you should declare when you are
starting and when will you complete. And
you should post this time-table on your
writing area wall. So that whenever you see
it, it reminds you of your goal. You may
write like, “I am starting my book on 1 Nov
and my book will be complete by 15 Dec.
My book will have 15 chapters and I will
complete each chapter within a time frame
Ankit Agrawal

of 3 days. There is great power in Goal.
Once you make your goal, the power of goal
will give you enthusiasm, vision, energy &
guidance to complete your project.
So never start your writing project if
you cannot assign a starting date & a strict
completion date to your project. Because
then it will be like a journey where starting
station & destination station time table is
missing. You will not know when to board
& when to de-board. So wisely make a goal
for your book writing project and then
diligently stick to your goal deadlines each
day.
Therefore clearly examine your
current schedule, workloads &
responsibilities and find out at what time
you can fit in your writing hour and then on
the basis of availability and regularity of
your writing hour, choose the start date &
completion date of your book writing
venture.
