Department of Dental and Maxillofacial SurgeryIt is a department that performs application in the treatment of normal and impacted tooth extraction, maxillofacial diseases dentoalveolar surgery, preprosthetic and implant surgery, tooth and jaw traumas, temporomandibular joint diseases and odontogenic infections.

Department of Dental and Maxillofacial RadiologyIt is a department that determines the diseases and structural imperfections in mouth, tooth and jaws via visualizing methods.

Department of EndodonticIt is a department that studies the biology of dental pulp, tooth root and the surrounding tissues and provides the diagnosis of wounding and treatment.

Department of OrthodontiaIt is a department that diagnoses the imperfection of the positioning of the tooth, the imperfections on the harmony of jowl and maxilla and face and provide their treatment via dental brace and apparatus.

Department of Prosthetic DentistryIt is a department that undertakes a wide range of mission of dentistry aiming to rehabilitate tooth tissue lost, partial or full tooth loss, tissue loss on the maxillofacial area with fixed dentures, removable dentures, implant-supported dental prostheses and maxillofacial prostheses in terms of aesthetic, phonation and functional aspects and maintain the health of the remaining tissues.

Department of Restorative Tooth TreatmentIt is a department that restores the structural imperfections on the permanent tooth such as tooth decay, trauma, and coloration with aesthetic and functional restorative materials.

Department of PedodontiaIt is a department that aims to keep the milk teeth and permanent tooth of the kids between 0-16 years healthy and treat the problems caused by tooth decay, trauma and hereditary factors.

Department of PeriodontologyIt is a department that studies whether the tooth or the tissues like tooth surrounding and supporting the tooth are healthy or not and aims to diagnose the diseases that may be seen in tooth or the tissues; cures the diseases and maintain the health condition of the tooth and surrounding tissues.

Yıldırım Beyazıt University was established in 2010 as the 97th university of Turkey and 5th state university of Ankara. YBU Faculty of Dentistry was established in April 2014. After the appointment of Prof. Dr. Metin ORHAN as the founder dean of the faculty, the faculty has speeded up its steps such as constituting its academic staff, opening programs and preparing infrastructure of the faculty. From May 2016 onwards, the faculty has been intensively preparing itself for the coming academic year with 12 faculty members consisting of 2 Professors, 10 Assistant Professors.

The objective of dentistry education is to train dentists who study mouth and dental health from every aspects in addition to human health, are sensitive to any kind of development and changes in mouth and dental health, able to offer both protective and curative health services effectively and realize duties and responsibilities as an active member of medical team.
