1• The song's lyrics were heavily influenced by The Lord of

the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. The opening line ("Leaves are falling all around") is probably a paraphrase of the opening line of Tolkien's poem "Namárië". The poem may also be the inspiration for the entire first verse. The Tolkien references later in the song refer to abstract themes - Mordor, and possibly Arwen (Elrond's daughter) Mine's a tale that can't be told,My freedom I hold dear; How years ago in days of oldWhen magic filled the air,'Twas in the darkest depths of MordorI met a girl so fair. But X, and the evil one crept upAnd slipped away with her.

2.And the beast shall be made legion. Its numbers shall be increased a thousand thousand fold. The din of a million keyboards like unto a great storm shall cover the earth, and the followers of Mammon shall tremble.from X, 3:31(Red Letter Edition)

Page 8: Anjan

3.And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird. The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon cowered in horror.from X, 7:15

4.And thus the Creator looked upon the beast reborn and saw that it was good.from X, 8:20

5.Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.from X, 11:9(10th Edition)

6. X kaun hai?• X can be termed as the longest living Indian

action comic Superhero. The character is believed to be inspired by mythological shape shifting snakes venomous humans. His past alter ego was Raj, who is the bumbling Public relations officer of Bharti Communications, a fictional company in the storyline (of which he is the actual owner). Raj pretends to be terrified of snakes. He wears spectacles, a typical business suit and is very timid and simple. This is very similar to the character of Superman/Clark Kent, even his outfit, straightening of hair and use of glasses to conceal his realself.

Page 20: Anjan
Page 21: Anjan

7.• The term X effect dates from the 1999 Open,

when the world's best players, many of whom were reared on manicured and relatively windless courses, were frustrated by the unexpected difficulties of the X links, which was compounded by the weather. One much-fancied young favourite, a 19-year-old Sergio García of Spain, went straight from the course to his mother's arms crying after shooting 89 and 83 in the first two rounds. The X effect is defined as "that degree of mental and psychic shock experienced on collision with reality by those whose expectations are founded on false assumptions." This being a psychological term, it can of course apply to disillusionment in any area of activity, not just in golf.

8. The epitaph of X in Bath Abbey reads:• Sacred to the memory of X , long known to the lettered world by

his admirable writings on the social branches of political economy, particularly by his essay on population.

• One of the best men and truest philosophers of any age or country, raised by native dignity of mind above the misrepresentation of the ignorant and the neglect of the great, he lived a serene and happy life devoted to the pursuit and communication of truth.

• Supported by a calm but firm conviction of the usefulness of his labors.

• Content with the approbation of the wise and good.• His writings will be a lasting monument of the extent and

correctness of his understanding.• The spotless integrity of his principles, the equity and candour of

his nature, his sweetness of temper, urbanity of manners and tenderness of heart, his benevolence and his piety are still dearer recollections of his family and friends.

• Born February 14, 1766 Died December 29, 1834.

• Peter Colt is a journeyman English professional tennis player ranked 119th in the world. He earns a wildcard spot to the ____. Tired of it all, he resolves to quit after this last tournament, and even gets a job to coach tennis at a country club. However, as ____ begins, Peter meets and falls in love with Lizzie Bradbury, a young, brilliant, American tennis pro. As their love grows, Peter's game becomes better and better and he wins his semi-final match in straight sets—whilst Lizzie loses hers, having lost her focus after a night together with Peter. Peter begins playing the final match against Jake Hammond , an arrogant American star who Peter has already had an argument with involving Lizzie, but finds himself outclassed. Lizzie, on her way home to America, sees an interview in which Peter apologises, and comes back to ____. With Lizzie cheering him on, Peter wins the title, and retires. In the last scene Peter is with his and Lizzie's youngest child, a boy, watching Lizzie and their eldest child, a girl, play tennis together on a neighborhood court in New York City.

Page 27: Anjan

The story was inspired by Goran Ivanišević, a Croatian tennis player who won Wimbledon in 2001, becoming

the only player to win men's singles at Wimbledon with a wildcard entry.

11.• A few months prior to the 1970 FIFA World Cup, Armin

___ and his cousin, Horst ____, sealed an agreement which was dubbed "The X pact". This agreement dictated that X would be out of bounds for both Y and Z. However, Armin found the potential financial and marketing advantage of sponsoring the superstar irresistible. X complied with a request by Z 's representative Hans Henningsen to increase the awareness and profile of the German company. At the opening whistle of a 1970 World Cup finals match, X stopped the referee with a last-second request to tie his shoelaces before kneeling down to give millions of television viewers a close-up of his Z’s. This greatly outraged Horst and future peace agreements were called off.

12• Her sister Madhur Bhushan said:

“The reason X broke up with Y was B R Chopra's film Naya Daur, not my father. X had shot a part of the film when the makers decided to go for an outdoor shoot to Gwalior. The place was known for dacoits, so my father asked them to change the location. They disagreed because they wanted a hilly terrain. So my father asked her to quit the film. He was ready to pay the deficit. Chopra asked Y for help. Y and X were engaged then. Y tried to mediate but X refused to disobey her father. Chopra's production filed a case against her, which went on for a year. But this did not spoil their relationship. Y told her to forget movies and get married to him. She said she would marry him, provided he apologised to her father. He refused, so X left him. That one 'sorry' could have changed her life. She loved X till the day she died.

15.• Punisher: War Zone is a 2008 American comic

book action film directed by Lexi Alexander; based on the fictional Marvel Comics vigilante/anti-hero The Punisher. This is the lowest grossing film based on a Marvel Comics property right along with Elektra and Howard the Duck. The soundtrack had songs by metal bands like Slayer and Slipknot. 16.Id the immortal X and Y• X was born into a wealthy Jat family of Jhang. Y was the

youngest of four brothers and lived in the village Takht Hazara. After a quarrel with his brothers, Y leaves home. He arrives in X's village and falls in love with her. She becomes mesmerised by the way X plays his flute and eventually falls in love with him. X is forced by her family and the local priest to marry another man called Saida Khera. Heartbroken, X becomes a jogi and wanders all over the Punjab, eventually finding the village where X now lives. The two return to X's village, where X's parents agree to their marriage. However, on the wedding day, X's jealous uncle poisons her food so that the wedding will not take place. Hearing this news, Y rushes to her aid, but he is too late, as she has already eaten the poison and died. Brokenhearted, Y takes the poisoned Laddu which X has eaten and dies by her side.

18.• The X refers to the interconnection in the

sequence of ideas expressed during a connected discourse or thought, as well as the sequence itself, especially in discussion how this sequence leads from one idea to another.

• When a reader or listener "loses X" (i.e., loses the relation between consecutive sentences or phrases, or the relation between non-verbal concepts in an argument or presentation), comprehension is lost of the expressed or unexpressed thought.

• The term “X" was introduced and elaborated as early as in 1651 by Thomas Hobbes in his Leviathan.

20. X,Y,Z,@• X got his first major break when Manoj Bajpai,

showed Auto Narayan (X ‘s script based on the life of serial killer Auto Shankar) to Ramgopal Varma. Varma liked X's work and hired him to write the script for Y. In September 1993, while X stayed at the St. Xavier's Boys Hostel, he used to hang out with the members of a band—Greek (later Pralay). He took copious notes on how they lead their lives—forty pages of a small notebook, and began writing the script for a film that he called Mirage but which would later become Z which did not see a conventional release. In May 2011, X got married to @ under a mango tree at Kalhatty near Ooty.

21• Historical inaccuracies include:• Costumes are designed for aesthetic appeal rather than

representing the true clothing at the time. The ___ is seen wearing a lower garment similar to pants and a coloured upper garment. At the time all upper-caste Hindu men wore a mundu and white veshti (upper garment), and during exercise or battle would have worn a short dhoti like those worn by Kalaripayattu warriors.

• Hindu men wore their hair in the kuduma style (this fell out of favour in the early 20th century), as well as earrings and forehead markings with vibhuti or chandanam. Wild, unkempt hair was only kept in such a way during times of mourning or great sadness.

• The blouse was only introduced to Kerala society in the 19th century and even up until the mid-20th century it was common to see elderly women only covering their upper body with a robe of linen. The character, played by X is shown wearing a black blouse.

22• Legend has it that a demon by name Matanga

wreaked havoc upon the devas and the humans who approached Bhrahma for help and upon his advice turned to the Mother Goddess Shakti, who took up the form of X, and powered by the other (Sapta) Maataas Varaahi, Bhrahmi, Vaishnavi, Kaumaari, Indraani and Saambhavi vanquished him for peace to reign again.

• Legend also has it that X vanquished another demon who had taken the form of a wild buffalo (Mahishasura), and took abode on the Yamunachala hill, which is now home to the temple.

• X was the tutelary deity of the Y, to whom she is believed to have presented a sword. Id X and Y

23. Id film and X• The film was originally supposed to star Kishore

Kumar and Mehmood in the lead roles. However, when X went to Kishore Kumar's house, he was driven away by the gatekeeper due to a misunderstanding. Kishore had done a stage show organized by another Bengali man, and he was involved in a fight with this man over money matters. He had instructed his gatekeeper to drive away this "Bengali", if he ever visited the house. When X went to Kumar's house, the gatekeeper drove him away, mistaking him for the "Bengali“. Thus X decided to cast two new actors. It is believed that X was inspired to write the film by Raj Kapoors illness. The film is dedicated to Raj Kapoor and the people of Bombay.

States and the Republic of the Philippines.Other countries do not recognize the concept of Xing and consider it kidnapping, a criminal act. Most X are employed by bail bondsmen: and are paid about 10% of the bail amount initially paid. If the fugitive eludes bail, the bondsman, not the X, is responsible for the remainder of the fugitive's bail. This is a way of ensuring his clients arrive at trial. In the United States, X claim to catch 31,500 bail jumpers per year, about 90% of people who jump bail.

Page 76: Anjan
Page 77: Anjan

26 Who is being spoken about?• X was born with no body, no arms, and no

legs. All he had was a ___. But despite this major birth defect, his parents still loved him very much. So on his sixteenth birthday, his parents found a doctor that could surgically give X a body. When the parents got home, they couldn't wait to tell him that he could finally have a body and be like other normal people. When X got there, they were really excited and said, "Have we got a surprise for you. It's the best present ever!" They showed him, and X said, "Oh no, not another hat!"

26.• The X effect is a term coined by psychologist

James C. Kaufman in 2001 to refer to the phenomenon that poets are more susceptible to mental illness than other creative writers. Kaufman's work further demonstrated that female poets were more likely to suffer from mental illness than any other class of writers. In addition, female poets were more likely to be mentally ill than other eminent women, such as politicians, actresses, and artists

• The effect is named after the American poet X, who committed suicide when she was thirty years old.

28• “X" is a song with lyrics written by the folk singer

Woody Guthrie and music written and performed by the Celtic punk band Y. The song's simple lyrics describe a sailor who had lost a leg "climbing the topsail", and is X to "find my wooden leg." The song has so far sold 1,044,000 digital copies without ever charting on the Hot 100. The Boston Celtics played the song during timeouts in the 2008 NBA Finals. X however attained extreme prominence when it appeared as part of the soundtrack of the Academy Award-winning Best Picture Z.

29. X,Y,Z• X tricked Ahalya, the wife of Gautama, in the guise of the

saint into letting him make love to her. He was punished by Gautama with a curse that one thousand vaginas would cover his body in a grotesque and vulgar display, and that his reign as king would meet with disaster and catastrophe. Gautama later commuted the curse, upon the pleading of Brahma, to one thousand eyes instead.

• Due to this sin X's throne is supposed to remain insecure forever. He is repeatedly humiliated by demons like Y (whose name means victory over X).

• However, according to the tradition of the temple of Z, X was promised relief from the curse, if he could manage to worship the Holy Trinity simultaneously. Tradition maintains that he continues to worship each night at the temple, on account of which the priests of the temple, on appointment, are made to take a vow in Tamil "Aham kaṇdathai puram çolla mattān", meaning "I will never reveal anything I see within".

30.• X states that his inspiration to write the song

was affected by three factors: he had seen a kung fu movie, later visited a jazz concert by Oscar Peterson, and was suffering from side-effects of pain killers (he had injured his foot playing football). Another account gives his inspiration simply as seeing two kids in London doing kung fu moves.

• The song has seen a resurgence primarily due to a cover by Cee-Lo Green and Jack Black used over the end credits of Y.

Page 88: Anjan
Page 89: Anjan

31. ID X• An X is a type of optical illusion consisting of a

two-dimensional figure which is instantly and subconsciously interpreted by the visual system as representing a projection of a three-dimensional object although it is not actually possible for such an object to exist.

• In most cases the impossibility becomes apparent after viewing the figure for a few seconds. However, the initial impression of a 3D object remains even after it has been contradicted.

• Examples are Necker Cube, Penrose stairs.

33. What is being spoken about?• "The story chose me! It was Ekta’s idea, she

had asked the writer to write a story based on this and once it was done they casually asked me to go through it. She wanted a first time director to do it as it wasn’t a big canvas and did not have a big budget, but when I read the story I was bowled over. I told her I wanted to direct it, it was exclusive material — not those typical masala films and I didn’t want anyone else directing it"

34.• X was born in captivity in the menagerie of

the Rajah of Oodeypore, India. He is introduced thus,”Everybody knew X, and nobody cared to cross his path; for he was as cunning as Tabaqui, as bold as the wild buffalo, and as reckless as the wounded elephant. But he had a voice as soft as wild honey dripping from a tree, and a skin softer than down.”

35. Id X• In 1978, Surya magazine editor X shocked the

nation by publishing the photos of Defence Minister Jagjivan Ram's son making love to a Delhi University student.

• Kushwanth Singh, who was also helping X in editing the magazine, recently recalled: "If the Kamasutra has 64 poses, that one certainly had 10.“

• The biggest fallout was, however, political. Jagjivan Ram, who was tipped to be the next prime minister, stood politically crushed.

which includes sugar, flour, dog kibble for texture, and other ingredients.

• Vanilla wafers, similar to Nilla Wafers were packaged and sold as X in Suncoast home video stores.

• During the rave scene of the early 1990s, the term ‘X' was one of the first street names for the empathogenic drug methyldioxymethamphetamine ( ecstasy); others were 'disco biscuit' and 'H-bomb'.

37• X chicken is a classic dish in Sichuan Cuisine,.

Allegedly, the dish is named after Ding Baozhen (1820–1886), a late Qing Dynasty official. Born in Guizhou, Ding served as head of Shandong province and later as governor of Sichuan province. His title was Gōng Bǎo, or palatial guardian. The name “X" chicken is derived from this title. During the Cultural Revolution the dish was labeled as politically incorrect because of its association with Ding Baozhen. The dish was renamed "fast-fried chicken cubes" or "chicken cubes with seared chiles" until its political rehabilitation in the 1980s.

38• X appeared in Einstein and Eddington, a joint

venture between HBO and BBC. He played Albert Einstein. The film followed Einstein's development of his theory of relativity, and also showed how British scientist Sir Arthur Eddington became the first person to understand the scientist's work. His work on Y started a debate on the legitimacy of CGI-assisted acting. Some critics felt Y should have been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, since his voice, body language, and facial expressions were used. There is the argument that his CGI actions were partially, or in some cases fully, animated without his movements, but the same is true for actors in a traditional movie with CGI.

• X is a line of comic books published by Marvel Comics. They follow possible endings for various Marvel characters, as they are set in the future. There have also been other similar miniseries released by Marvel that follow “X" formula but don't carry the title, such as The Last Fantastic Four Story, Spider-Man: Reign, Daredevil: End of Days and Silver Surfer: Requiem.
