    What is animism?

    Animism (from Latinanimus, -i "soul, life")

    is a religious view that natural physical things

    like animals, plants,

    and even inanimate objects or phenomena, like rocks, the seaand sky, or thunderstorms

    possess a spiritual essence and sometimes a soul
