AAffrriiccaa is a huge continent that’s made up of many
different habitats, such as sand, rock, water and
grassland. Each of those habitats are a perfect place
for some of the most incredible creatures in the world.
On this continent you will find the fastest, largest, and
weirdest animals on the earth, many of which are
unfortunately now endangered.

AAssiiaa covers a vast area that reaches almost halfway round the
Earth from east to west and contains a diverse array of
habitats and animals.
AAuussttrraalliiaa is a country comprising the mainland of
the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and
numerous smaller islands. The continental drift tore
Australia away from Africa and Antarctica and sent it on a 45
million year journey northwards. The original mammal
passengers on this journey were the marsupials and egg layers.

TThhee AArrccttiicc is a polar region located at the northernmost partof the Earth. It consists of a vast, ice-covered ocean, surrounded by
treeless permafrost. Many animals migrate away from the dark
Arctic for the winter, returning to take advantage of the 24 hour
summer sunshine to breed.
TThhee AAnnttaarrccttiicc is a polar region, specifically the regionaround the Earth's South Pole and holds the record for being the
coldest place on Earth. The extensive ice cover and lack of winter
sunlight makes the continent pretty inhospitable to life.

EEuurrooppee is defined as a separate continent
in political terms, but biogeographically it's part
of Eurasia. It has a huge range of habitats, from tundra to
bogs, moorland, forests, mountain ranges, coastal cliffs,
wetlands and semi arid deserts.
It has a surprisingly diverse range of wildlife.
Bears are still be found across most of Europe along
with wild boar, deer, moose, otters and even bison.

NNoorrtthh AAmmeerriiccaa has been in contact with South America
and Eurasia, and been colonised by animals and plants from both
landmasses. Some of these have gone on to evolve into new species in
their new home.
SSoouutthh AAmmeerriiccaa became a continent on breaking away
from Africa and Antarctica 120 million years ago. Its fauna and flora
are descended from organisms either on the continent then
(marsupials, for instance) or that managed to make their way there
during its isolation three million years ago.

TThhee OOcceeaann is home to some of the most magnificent and
unusual creatures on Earth. A large proportion of all life on
earth exists in the oceans and cover about 71% of the
earth's surface. Specific habitats include coral reefs, kelp
forests, seagrass meadows, tidepools, muddy, sandy and
rocky bottoms, and the open ocean.
The diverse marine life ranges from
microscopic phytoplankton and
zooplankton to huge whales measuring
30 meters in length.

TThhee FFaarrmmis an area of land including various structures, devoted
primarily to the practice of producing grains, or livestock. They may be
owned and operated by a single individual, family, community, corporation
or a company. It can be a holding of any size from a fraction of a hectare
to several thousand hectares.
The livestock can either be kept in an enclosure, fed by human-provided
food and intentionally bred, or not enclosed and allowed to
breed freely. Historically livestock raising was part of a
nomadic or pastoral form of material culture.

DDiinnoossaauurrss are a diverse group of animals that first
appeared during the Triassic period, 231.4 million years ago,
and were the dominant species for 135 million years. Some
grew to magnificent sizes such as the better known
dinosaurs Brachiosaurus which measured 45 feet in
height and the Diplodocus at 50 feet high.
They are a specific subgroup of the archosaurs, a group
that also includes crocodiles, pterosaurs, and birds.
