HORSE’S NAME These horses are called Mongolian
horses and Przewalski’s horses too. They are named after a Russian explorer and geographer.
WHAT IS A MONGOLIAN HORSE’S DIET?
Mongolian Horses occasionally eat and catch live things such as small and
young animals. If they are not eating live things, they are eating grass and
vegetation like grass and weeds .
CONSERVATION
Mongolian Horses are almost endangered but a team of scientists bred the horses for a while. They put out 150 more horses. Now, there are around 400 in 2010.

in western Mongolia. They lived in grassy and desert areas.

For as long as people can remember, Mongolian horses only lived in Mongolia. Mongolian horses were last seen in the wild in 1968. Now they are only seen in zoos.
MONGOLIAN HORSE’S APPEARANCE
Mongolian horses shed and grow back their manes and tails each year. Mongolian horses weigh 440 to 550 pounds that is 20 more pounds than a regular horse.

When Mongolian Wild Horses get mad they kick their hind legs to hurt the other horses around them. Mongolian Wild Horses make the same noise as a regular horse.
