Call for Papers

A total of about 300 papers are expected to be presented at the 1st International Conference ANI-NUE 2012. The proceedings will be published and distributed to all participants during the conference. We invite submissions of scientific papers relating to the following fields of animal nutrition and production.

Subjects: • Technologies for sustainable animal nutrition • Sustainable use of local feed resources • Role of biotechnology in animal nutrition and production • Balancing food production and environment. • Production systems/Sustainable animal production systems • Nutrition/Feed technology • Livestock environment/Waste management • Animal behavior and welfare • Pasture management, grass and forage production. • Economics of livestock production/Utilization and marketing of animal products and others.

Species: Beef, dairy, buffalo, sheep, goats, swine, broilers, layers, aquatic animals, duck, ostrichs, other birds, horse, deer, and others.

Invitation

The inaugural Conference on Animal Nutrition and Environment (ANI-NUE 2012) will be held in Pullman Raja Orchid Hotel, Khon Kaen, Thailand, organized by Tropical Feed Resources Research and Development Center (TROFREC) and co-hosts, which aims at researching, adapting, transferring and developing technology for the sustainable development of animal production. This will involve both conventional approaches and the use of appropriate modern technologies.

The primary objective of ANI-NUE is to provide a venue for animal science (academicians, researchers, administrators and livestock producers), to share their experiences and develop collaborations to enhance development of sustainable animal industries in their respective countries. The emphasis of ANI-NUE 2012 will be on issues, challenges and recommendations on how animal nutrition should be developed and research to meet the challenges of all countries facing to improve animal production and be environmentally-friendly. Among the issues to be presented and discussed are:

• Recent advance in animal nutrition. • Technologies for sustainable animal nutrition and production. • Sustainable use of local feed resources. • Role of biotechnology in animal nutrition and production. • Balancing food production and environment. • Sustainable crop-livestock farming. • Feed processing technology. • etc.

The conference comprises of scientific presentations and field trip to small holder farms and other sites of interest. The venue of the conference is Pullman Raja Orchid Hotel, Khon Kaen, Thailand.

ANI-NUE 2012 is jointly organized by Tropical Feed Resources Research and Development Center (TROFREC), and other University Members. Purpose:The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for animal scientists, animal agriculture-crop scientists and those from related disciplines to discuss and exchange on research issues relating to animal nutrition and environment.
