- Priority will be given to P4 to P6 pupils

- P2&P3 students are then balloted for the remaining vacancies.

- HOD (PE/CCA) will advise on CCAs with vacancies to the P2 pupils who were not given a CCA of their 3 choices.

After Registration

After registration, the following groups of

pupils will be informed of CCA vacancies in

the following order:

(1) P4 to P6 pupils not accepted in their 3

choices

(2) P4 to P6 pupils who are not in any CCA

(3) P2 and P3 pupils who were not

accepted in their 3 choices

(4) Pupils requesting for a second CCA

WHY CHANGE?

• Reduce fine differentiation of students at a young age based on exam scores.

• Recognise a student’s level of achievement in each subject, regardless of how his peers have done.

NEW SYSTEM

• There will be 8 Achievement Levels (ALs), with AL1 being the best.

• A student’s AL for each subject will reflect his level of achievement, rather than how he has performed relative to his peers.

• The PSLE Score replaces the T-score Aggregate.

• The PSLE Score ranges from 4 to 32, with 4 being the best.

• Compared to the T-score Aggregate, students are less finely differentiated.

New – 2019 PSLE Cohort

• MOE will reserve 20% of places in each course

(Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal

(Technical)) at every affiliated secondary school

for application from students who do not benefit

from affiliation priority.
