Mobile internet use is accelerating: This June saw a rise in daily users of Umeng Top 100 Apps ( a 3 fold increase on January this year) and an increase in daily sessions of Umeng Top 100 Apps (a 4 fold increase).

14% of all Android phones are now using Android 2.3.

Tablets make up 8.7% of all Android devices.

One reason is the operators have speed up the expandation of 3G business. In addition there has been an increase in users from 2nd tier cities where easy wifi access is less common.

China Telecom has grabbed 10% of market share within less than a year. China Unicom’s market share has returned to 2010 Q3 levels after recovering from a low of 11% at the end of 2010.
