Verizon Wireless is excited to announce a new software update for the LG G Vista smartphone. This update brings Android™ 5.1.1 Lollipop to your phone along with other improvements.

Lock Screen Notifications• In Lollipop OS, you can set options for how notification

messages are displayed on the Lock Screen.

• When you change to any secure screen lock setting, your device will give you the chance to set the lock screen notification preferences.

• “Hide sensitive only” option is not available while the device is set to either None or Swipe screen lock.

Smart Lock• You now turn on “Smart Lock” in Settings under Lock Screen.

• Smart Lock lets you add trusted devices that can communicate with your LG G Vista without requiring you to manually unlock it.

Interruptions• Interruptions feature allows you to determine what

notifications and alarms your device will sound or display.

• ‘None’ which will stop your device from sounding and all types of notifications including alarms.

• ‘Priority’ which allows you to set what apps, and which calendar event and notifications are displayed.

• ‘All’ allows all notifications to be displayed.

• ‘Interruptions’ is mapped to sound toggle button on Quick settings.

• ‘Ongoing notifications will be displayed when Priority only or No interruptions mode is selected. Tapping this notification shall bring you to the interruptions settings screen.

• ‘Separated button (Sound, Interruption) is provided in Quick Settings.

Shade Lock• When “Show all notifications” is set, tapping “More” section

or swiping down the notification cards will expand the notification list.

• If “Hide sensitive only” is set, user has to first unlock to see the whole list of notification.

Screen Pinning• Screen Pinning allows you to lock the device to a single app.

• Holding the Back and Recent buttons at the same time will unpin the app.

Floating Action Button (FAB)• Floating action button is added for the main applications to

promote the key action such as adding or composing new item.

• Floating action buttons are supported for the Contacts, Email, Alarm/Clock and Music applications.

Search in Settings• The Settings are now searchable.

• “Search” in the Settings page allows you to search through all the settings listings.

Avoid Bad Wi-Fi Connections• Added ‘Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections’ in Advanced

Wi-Fi options.

• If the Wi-Fi signal is not strong enough, then this feature will automatically connect via mobile network to improve user experience.
