Senior Maintenance Supervisor Member of the PanAust Asset Management Team

PanAust is a copper and gold producer in Laos comprising Phu Bia Mining which has a Mineral Exploration and Production Agreement (MEPA) with the Government of Laos that regulates exploration and mining within the Phu Bia Contract Area, which is more than 2,600 square kilometres. As a Senior Maintenance Supervisor, I was responsible for the set-up, supervision and management of all daily maintenance activities for the Logistic Department’s road haulage fleet and fixed plant equipment, including ensuring that all associated targets and business objectives were met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES◥ Solely managed the set-up of the Logistics Maintenance Department in Laos for Phu Bia Mining

Ltd, including drafting, implementing, managing and executing maintenance strategies, procedures and processes

◥ Ensured compliance with statutory codes, Acts and regulations to protect employees, the company and its equipment from possible damage, injury or litigation, as well as managed activities in accordance with the relevant safety, environmental and procedural standards

◥ Recruited and trained personnel to meet and maintain all maintenance requirements, as well as liaised with equipment operators, trainers and supervisors to ensure that all equipment was operated within design parameters

◥ Ensured that staff considered continuous improvement in all tasks through the implementation of initiatives that ensured consistent fleet performance, as well as improved efficiency and individual performance output

◥ Monitored key spares and parts to ensure optimal support capacity for the concentrate haulage fleet and associated support fleets, whilst expediting parts and components for urgent maintenance tasks
