WE LIKE IT HERE. YOU MIGHT TOO.

OUR STRUCTURE

• Our funding increased

substantially in 2003 when the

Oregon legislature enacted a 1%

transient lodging tax that was

appropriated to Travel Oregon

• This allowed us to be a semi-

independent state agency that

is overseen by a nine-member

board of commissioners

appointed by the Governor

• As of July 1, 2016 our

organization is funded by a 1.8%

transient lodging tax

• We now have an annual budget

of ~$30 Million

OUR VISION: A better life for Oregonians through

strong, sustainable local economies.

OUR MISSION: We inspire travel that drives economic

development. Through innovation and partnerships,

we share the stories of Oregon’s people and places,

ensuring the preservation of Oregon’s way of life and

natural places.
