:The project goal is to provide a better housing stock for the people of the Offinso North District in the hopes of expanding that network to the Ashanti Region and throughout Ghana. To accomplish this goal we will design a subsidized housing project, which will incorporate a build to suit type of community. For the site locations we will provide a site plan template that can be used by the community in the development process. Case studies of successful build to suit neighborhoods, will be utilized to establish a baseline for the feasibility of the project. We will accomplish this goal through developing valuable relationships with private developers, local banks, government officials, and village chiefs. We will develop this media which will house the designs, costs, building materials, and site locations of the possible regional housing project. People in developing countries lack the experience and education when it comes to the home buying and home building process. We hope to make their job easier and make an effective repertoire for them to examine and learn how to make the house of their dream a reality.

Downtown River DistrictCOLUMBUS, OHIO

:The Downtown River District is a mixed-use, mixed-income downtown district that relates its distinct heritage to downtown Columbus.Although it resembles a CBD it retains all the amenities of a distinct district.

Capital Container ParkCOLUMBUS, OHIO

:With the diminished retail space in downtown Columbus, It is a perfect candidate for a improvised shipping container, open air retail attraction. There are over 17 million shipping containers in the world, and thousands come into North America every day. It is incredibly costly to deadhead the containers, or ship them back empty, so on wharfs and piers they sit. To take these used cargo containers, fabricate them to hold retail, restaurant, bar, nightlife, and attraction type business to the heart of downtown Columbus.

We will be creating the very first Container District in the Western Hemisphere. In doing so, we will increase a much needed work/live district with the retail and hip location it desperately needs. Where not in the business to build things were in the business of creating a way of life, and attraction type business to the heart of downtown Columbus.

A variety of Containers can be used to create each business to his or her liking, and ultimately creating a unique space for each shop owner. In doing so we will have a park full of boutique shops and business that will better serve downtown Columbus.

Towards the front entrance we will like to implement a water feature that would shoot out from the ground, with this attraction we would not only use it as aesthetics but for a nice place to stay cool on a hot summer day.

This will be a year round open community of retail and food vendors, and a improvised park in the downtown core. Part of our plan is to use cut in half containers to create planter boxes and the south portion with grass to create a green space for relaxing, eating and entertainment. Above containers will be rooftop terrace for dining and entertainment.

Three Points PlazaCLEVELAND, OHIO

:Three Points Plaza will comprise of a live, play, work type atmosphere. Here in this brownfield we will redevelop the character and charm of some of the existing buildings while building new to tie the spaces together. At the Plaza we couldn’t just pick one medium so we chose all three (Residential, Retail, and Office space). We derived the name from the triangle shaped complex and park. Our goal was not to just build structures but to build a heart to a new district that would pump new life to the surrounding area, giving Cleveland a much needed revitalization. Three Points is just the start, once done the rest will follow.

We will start with the Pièce de résistance and redevelop the main building on the property to be a mixed use space, comprising of a main floor commercial area and the next 4 floors reserved for 1 to 2 bedroom apartments. On the very top we will create a roof top deck for every tenant. The parking structure will be oblong in structure so it takes up the least amount of space possible, but it will also be used as a noise and sight filter for the railroad system directly behind it. Here at Team Awesome we believe, we have solved the issue of the need for parking but also the unsightly view of a traditional parking garage.

The park has several garden themes and landscape aspects, including a butterfly garden, a riparian (streamside) landscape, a sage-scented garden, and grass meadow. There is also a Discovery Trail, Donor Plaza, and trellised pathways. We would also like to introduce wooden beds for eating and relaxing (Pictured at the Bottom). The park will have two fountains, symbolizing the sun and the moon, connected by an ephemeral stream.

Bridge Street DistrictDUBLIN, OHIO

:With a 10 acre property we were faced with an issue of abundance. Our property was a greenfield consisting of a mixed use/residential space. Our team placed functionality first and foremost, but with an emphasize on looks. Our property comprises a live/ work space that has mixed use on the main street of Tuller Rd, but began to plan a more residential feel with townhomes and urban apartments on the alleys and neighborhood streets. We also took advantage of our property size and added ample parking and green space.

:Our neighborhood Corridors consist of bars, nightlife, restaurants and retail, all attracting the above apartments as well as other residential property in the area. These walkable corridors are people friendly and prohibits the use of motor vehicles. When you think of our neighborhood think Bourbon Street but with a modern/traditional feel that only Dublin is known for.

Poster DesignsKNOWLTON SCHOOL

: Poster design can visualize the detail of art but can also be a clever way to produce information to the masses. When you combine great artwork, catchy graphics, and well written words you can produce appealing information.

:Posters do not have to pay for the space they occupy. Despite any city ordinance or regulation, a poster can be put under the cover of night and speak its message until removed. A bold combination of image and text cannot be ignored by anyone who catches a glimpse of it from the corner of their eye - everyone does a double take automatically at something strange. Posters can be immediate responses to current issues and events. Their timeliness can build momentum toward change. A poster is created for a certain audience in a contain location. Many posters would not be understood outside of their local context because it speaks directly to a certain community.

A key part of this project is developing Green Street facilities along theroute. Green Streets use landscaping to capture stormwater runoff andallow it to soak into the ground as plants and soil f ilter out pollutants.Green Streets also create attractive streetscapes and urban greenwaysthat connect business districts, neighborhoods, parks, recreation facilities, schools and habitats.

Rain GardenThis landscape feature is planted with native plants used to lter pollutants from storm water runo. Provide seating to accomodate street activities.

Bike LaneProvide designated striping, signing, and colored paving. This portion of the street delineates the zone assigned to bicyclists while visually and physically narrowing the vehicular zone.

Bulb-OutThis sidewalk extension improves pedestrian crossings by reducing the pedestrian crossing distance and visually and physically narrowing the roadway. This bulb-out incorporates ADA compliant ramps and bollard protection..

Parallel ParkingThis option eectively achives compression by physically narrowing the roadway and using decorative pervious paving materials to vissually expand the pedestrian realm.

Bike ParkingThe dedicated and unobtrusive bike parking zone helps keep bicycles o the sidewalk. Bollards are used to clearly delineate the space and provide protection from parking motorists. Additional bike racks may be provided at select retail destinations.

Green MedianThis landscape feature is not only another rain garden but also used as an ambiance for passing motorists.

Landscape DesignsKNOWLTON SCHOOL

:To enhance our built environment we must first understand the natural features that were here before us. A successful planner will marry these two ideas and make a seamless transition. Landscape is an important part of any multidisciplinary firm, through the work of case studies, site development, and design i have a plethora of experience that can be used to imagine and create amazing green spaces anywhere in the world.

More people around the world are taking a look at urban farming, which offers to make our food as local as possible. By growing what we need near where we live, We also get the freshest produce money can buy. Another benefit of urban farming is that it can add greenery to cities, reducing harmful runoff, increase shading, and countering the unpleasant heat island effect. Garden plots can help people reconnect with the Earth, and gain a greater appreciation for where our food comes from. Rooftop and patio gardens create peaceful places for relaxation or contemplation.

Visual DesignsGROVE CITY, OHIO

: Accumulated pictures of Grove City, Ohio. These images along with various others were put to work to help create a brand new built environment. A great way to get a planners point across is to design an image of the built environment using preset templates, everyday structures and using Photoshop to place them altogether.

Skecthup is a powerful design tool which made rendering Grove City more sophisticated and gave the audience a 3-D view of the surrounding street scape.
