7 April 2017 PRIMARY 5 SEMESTER ASSESSMENT (SA) 1 2017 Dear Parents/Guardians, 1. This is to inform you that the Semester Assessment (SA) 1 2017 written examination will

commence on Wednesday, 26 April and end on Friday, 12 May for all Primary 5 classes. A detailed SA 1 timetable can be found in ANNEX A. You can also find a copy of the schedule and the assessment scope on our school website.

2. Your child/ward will be taking his/her English and Mother Tongue oral examination on Monday and Tuesday, 17 and 18 April 2017. The oral examination will start at 1.30 p.m. Your child/ward will be released once he/she has completed the oral examination. Please make the necessary transport arrangement for your child/ward.

3. All English, Mathematics, Science and Mother Tongue Supplementary Lessons, and CCAs

will stand down as of Monday, 24 April 2017. All CCAs will resume on Friday, 12 May 2017. All Higher Mother Tongue Supplementary lessons will continue and except on Wednesday, 3 May 2017.

4. The school requires your child/ward to produce a medical certificate if he/she is absent for any examination paper.

5. Subject Teachers will go through the examination scripts with the pupils from Monday, 15 May to Wednesday, 17 May 2017. All examination scripts will be returned to your child latest by Thursday, 18 May 2017.

6. All pupils are required to hand in their Report Books to their respective Form Teachers latest

by Monday, 17 April 2017.

7. Your child/ward will be receiving his/her report slip and report book on Thursday, 25 May 2017.

8. The school seeks the cooperation of all parents to monitor the progress of your child/ ward

and to ensure that he/ she has adequate rest during this assessment period.

9. Should you have any query, please e-mail your child’s/ward’s Form Teacher or the HOD-in-charge of the School Examination, Mrs Ratnaraja at [email protected] .
