Hands-On Workshops and Intimate Talks (CLD Large Studio) From brewing microbiology to spotting alternative facts, we’ve got a stellar line-up of small-group workshops. If you haven’t pre-registered, chat to one of our friendly volunteers in the Link Foyer building to find out what’s on and whether spots are still available.

FRIDAY ALL NIGHT:

SCINEMA International Film Festival Screening (CLD Small Studio) Need a break from the festivities? We have short science films showing all evening! Relax with a selection of Australia’s best short, science-related drama and documentary films.

CENTRAL GALLERYCentre for Learning and Discovery

Hobart Brewing Co. beer on tap, Forty Spotted hot-spiced gin, Dr. Edge Pet Nat (a naturally fermented sparkling pinot noir), plus fantastic Tassie red and white wines, as well as a selection of soft drinks from the Coca Cola-Amatil range. Find our bars in the Watergate courtyard, the Link Foyer building, and the Bond Store basement.

Food options can be purchased from the vans just outside the Watergate with TACO TACO and Wattlebank Catering.

All proceeds from drink sales directly support our goal of making this free non-profit event a self-sustaining, annual Hobart tradition.
