Scientific ObjectivesComPliCaTions: The attendee will be exposed to the various options in trauma repair and how to address the options, risks and long-term complications of different procedures.
dermaToloGy: The attendee will gain a better appreciation for the wide array of dermatologic conditions that can present in the skin and nails of the foot. Diagnostic methods and treatment protocols will be reviewed. Indications for biopsy procedures will be discussed in the context of a hands-on workshop that will include the most useful plastic procedures for post-biopsy excisions on the skin of the foot.
FlaTFooT surGery: The attendee will become familiar with different surgical procedures in the management of associated flatfoot deformities.
mediCine: The attendee will become familiar with the current treatment options and advanced therapies in the various medical conditions that present to a podiatric physician.
ForeFooT surGery: The attendee will become familiar with different surgical procedures in the management of associated forefoot deformities.
rearFooT surGery: The attendee will become familiar with different surgical procedures in the management of associated rearfoot deformities.
Trauma: The attendee will become familiar with all different surgical options in the management of traumatic injuries of the foot.
misCellaneous: The attendee will gain knowledge and understanding of various topics that the podiatric physician may encounter related to soft tissue, innovations, etc.
DisclosureEach speaker is required to disclose any financial or other relationships he/she might have with a manufacturer of any commercial product to be discussed during their presentation, as well as any commercial contribution of the activity. All staff, board of directors, and speakers are required to provide disclosure and written agreement within CPME 720 guidelines.
Antitrust Policy StatementIt is the policy of The Podiatry Institute to comply fully with antitrust laws, both federal and state, and to avoid all conduct which is unlawful, or which may give the appearance of being in conflict with such laws.
AccreditationThis activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between The Podiatry Institute and iLLiNois PoDiATRiC MEDiCAL AssoCiATioN. The Podiatry Institute is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. The Podiatry Institute has approved this activity for a maximum of 20 continuing education contact hours.
Continuing Education Contact HoursRegistration and payment do not automatically result in issuance of CECH credits. You must sign in as designated each day to receive CECH credits. Failure to sign-in as designated will result in a loss of CECH credits. Certificates will be emailed in approximately 2 weeks.
While attendance verification certificate states that it is possible to earn up to 20 CECH hours and that The Podiatry Institute has made a good faith effort to monitor attendance, the physician is ultimately obligated to honestly report what he/she has attended to all appropriate bodies, including their licensing boards.

Refund PolicyCANCELLATION requests must be made in writing, via fax or mail, and postmarked no later than one month before the start date of the conference. All cancellation requests will be assessed a $75 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations made less than one month prior to the start of the conference. Instead a “certificate of transfer” will be issued, redeemable for any Podiatry Institute conference of equal price or as partial registration fee on any higher price conference. The certificate will be valid for a period of one year from date of issue. NO cancellations or transfers will be accepted within two weeks of the start of the conference.
In the event the conference is cancelled by events beyond our control, the participant will receive a full refund or transfer to another conference, without penalty, within 30 days of the notice of cancellation.
