Album advertisement, would be very similar to a magazine advertising the album and feature the album artwork.

Internal links, usually featuring:• Home• Tour and ticket information• Biography and discography• Online merch store

Header/banner across the top ¼ of the page featuring:• Artist/band name• Latest album/single/tour information• Artist/band/album logo

Background image is transparent but can still be seen so it doesn’t take the attention away from any part of the website home page.

Website Analysis.

Examples across the indie rock genre.

I thought Imagine Dragons’ website was particularly interesting because as soon as the page opened, it popped up with their latest music video rather than it being in one of the sidebars of the website.

Minimalistic, monochrome colours which contrast each other are used to appeal to a male audience. The black and white colour scheme is only broken by the image central to the screen. All text is a capitalised and is a bold, Arial white font.

Advertisement for an event/gig where the band are playing dominates the centre of the screen. The main image of this is similarly styled to AM’s latest album but is in brighter colours, both drawing immediate attention to the middle section containing the event details and connoting that the event is exciting.

Band logo is incorporated with the name so it’s easy to associate with the band.

Internal links are capitalised but appear very small across the top of the screen and include links to:• Homepage• Merch store• Photo and video
