Home page analysis

Same image and Title from my DVD cover- builds a recognisable brand for customers.I didnt want bright colours as I think it would promote the idea that they were a pop/mainstream band so I chose I muted colour scheme fitting to my bands genre.Social media links provide a way to connect with listeners easily.My own logo and the bands logo make the website look more official and professional .Winter by Daughter plays automatically. Similar to other similar artists I looked at such as James Blake.Easy navigation bar.InspirationI deliberately chose quite a simple homepage as I researched similar artists such as The XX, James Bay, Tom Odell and Daughters own homepage, and found them to be, unlike mainstream genres, uncomplicated and quite minimalistic. This was a convention I chose to continue as I wanted my website to represent the band faithfully.

Image choice

I took this photo just using a vase of flowers and my friends hands. I like the idea of flowers as they can present vulnerability yet still radiate beauty, something that I wanted my main character to encapsulate in my music video. The hands to me also suggest some longing in the way they seem to be grabbing for something, representing the male character in my music video. EXTRAS

To make my website seem more complete I added an extra couple of pages which include About, Tour, Gallery, Watch and Listen and Contact.
