Site NewsThe website contains all the latest news on the artist, such as magazine/television appearances and new/upcoming songs.This gives fans all the information they need to know about Rhianna!

VideosThe website also has a selection of videos, both music videos and behind the scenes!

PhotosRhianna’s website also includes photo galleries, sharing tour, personal and professional photographs!

MusicThe website also includes album listings and lyrics to all of Rhianna’s music!

BiographyLike most, this website includes a biography on the artist, Rhianna. This shares background information on her and explains her musical journey from the beginning to present!

PressA listing of the magazines she has appeared in, and events she has attended from the early days of her career are presented on the website.This promotes the continuing growth of her career!

FollowThere is also a link which takes you straight to Rhianna’s twitter, encouraging fans to follow her and keep up with her latest tweets. This is a more personal approach, as the information received from this network is from Rhianna herself.

LegalThe website, of course, has terms and conditions. This includes privacy policies for the websites users, and copyright action etc.

ContactUsers are also able to contact the website operators with any queries

ChatThere is also the option for fans to ‘chat’ together by using either Facebook or Twitter. Webcams can also be used in this process.

Rhianna’s website is very impressive! This is what you would expect to see from a well accomplished artist, promoting their music!

Digipak Research!Another choice for our ancillary tasks is to create a digipak. A digipak is a fancy alternative to the original Jewel CD case. It usually includes additional information on the artist, e.g. Photo’s and lyrics, although it does still contain the original features, such as the track listing etc.There are many styles of digipak’s available!

This is an example of a 6 panel digipak for 2 CDs for Rhianna’s Album- Loud. I really like this design and the large image inside avoids the case from looking too over-crowded which I have found in other styles

This is another example of a digipak from Rhianna's music. This CD contains a huge MP3 collection of Rhianna’s music. This digipak has 6 panels with CD in centre As the CD contains so many songs, the interior of the pack shows the track listings of each album. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an image of the digipak closed, so I am unsure what the front of the digipak looks like! But I also like this style!

Magazine Advert ResearchThe final choice for our ancillary tasks is to create a Magazine Advert, to promote the Artist and their new album. I will continue using Rhianna as my example!

This is a magazine advert is promoting Rhianna’s new album ‘Rated R’. The dark colours and heavy makeup Rhianna is wearing could be relevant to the style of music in this album e.g. This picture wouldn’t be appropriate if her songs were joyful and happy! The Album title isn’t very visible, whereas her name is written in big bold letters, and two popular songs in red. This shows that viewers would be more attracted to songs they are familiar with, rather than an unfamiliar album name! The Advert shows the same picture that appears on the front of the Album CD jewel case,

which seems to be the case for the majority of artists.

After researching, I think I am going to create both a digipak and a magazine advert. I believe that these two work well alongside each other as they are promoting the same thing. I do really like the idea of creating a website, but the other two tasks have a better appeal to me! Rhianna’s magazine advert has given me a lot of inspiration and ideas for my own Artist, and the digipak for her album ‘Loud’ had a really cool layout! I will be taking my inspiration from both her advert and digipak and incorporating it into my own work!!
