ANCIENT ROME de Beaufort GROUP PROJECT 200points More than any other Ancient Civilization, Rome was characterized by a long stretch of relative stability in which power passed from one imperial leader to another in (mostly) peaceful succession. Beginning with Augustus in 27 BC, these Roman Emperors wielded extraordinary power and the fate of the Empire was directly linked to the decision-making, temperament, and vision of each successive ruler. Some were noble and brave, others cowardly and perverse-but each possessed unquestioned authority and extraordinary power. Each group has been assigned 1 Emperor to study. I would like you to address the following categories in a short presentation (pre-recorded video or power- point) of approximately10 minutes. Be sure to answer each question for full credit. Make sure to include pictures and maps for each point. A. History and Noteable events 1. How did the leader come to power? 2. Describe conflicts or wars that occurred during their reign.
