DESCRIPTION

Ancient Greek. Terracotta vessel in the shape of a

kneeling ram with curled horns, the single back handle

connects to the spout, traces of black and red. Earthen

patina. 400 BC (7 1/4" x 7")

DESCRIPTION

Sadigh Gallery Ancient Greek bronze sword has a flared

hilt covered with a double raised ring pattern, the blade

with a single raised ridge down the length. Green patina

with heavy earthen encrustations. Unusually large.

DESCRIPTION

Ancient Greek. Rhyton shaped terracotta vessel with

wide flaring lip, the single handle to the bottom, a rams'

head with curled hornes, pointed snout, the neck shows

an image of a nude seated male, one leg tucked

underneath, phallus visible. 400 BC ( 9 1/4" x 4 3/4").

DESCRIPTION

Ancient Greek. Corinthian bronze helmet used in Greek

warfare. Hammered from a single sheet of bronze, with

flaring rim in the back, a dot pattern along the front. The

Greeks called themselves Hellenes and their land Hellas.

They never formed a national government but were

united by a common culture, religion and language.

Green patina and earthen encrustations. Very rare. 500-

600 BC (8" x 9")

Ancient Greek. Bronze reclining sphinx with an elaborate

braided coiffure, the braided necklace draping across her

naked breasts, a small rectangular platform resting on

her back. Finely detailed with serene face. Green patina

with a light earthen patina. 400 BC (2 ½" x 3 ½")
