About DesignerRana Ghezelayagh Rana Ghezelayagh, Iranian born, has been reinventing herself alongside her inspiring functional fashion designs since her arrival to the United States. Her sustainable designs celebrate her roots in Middle Eastern culture with class and innovation. Rana’s distinctive couture captures the essence of architecture and beauty. Designing and creating attire that is functional yet contemporary with sophistication is Rana’s dream.Rana’s formal training at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Seattle, along with years of experience freelance designing, set her apart with out-of-the-box creativity and functionality. One of her most memorable accomplishments was modeling her own designed and hand-made bridal gown in the “Imagine” 2009 fashion show in Seattle. Philosophy The philosophy which builds and sustains Rana’s creative energy is found in the human body and the celebration of women’s power. Her convictions set the tone for her fashion statements in that a woman’s body can be seductive and powerful without being over exposed. She believes the feminine silhouette is not just about the apparent beauty of women, but a source of strength and confidence. Her style of using beautiful and colorful patterned lining in her first collection, which included 20 trench coat dresses, reflects this inner beauty of a woman. Her second collection, which is a sustainable and reversible accessory line of obi belts, scarves, ponchos, and kimonos, effectively dazzles the eye while expressing her vision of women’s elegance and class both inside out.

Services Rana’s imagination and ingenuity can be sparked by color and texture. If you have a special color scheme or fabric texture, she will custom design and create a unique, modern, and exotic look that belongs to you, set to no specific era or location. Collections Para & Pers Collections (2010)2010 collection includes 20 Trench Coat dresses made of mostly organic fabrics (Silk& Cotton) with very colorful and beautiful patterned lining. This collection was inspired by the architectural beauty of an ancient city called “ Persepolis” in Iran.2010 collection could be daily wearable not only for those Seattleites that are fashion forward and stylish as a jacket (considering our cold and rainy climate), but also could be useful as evening dress for sophisticated and cutting edge women. The dresses are wearable and suitable in spring and fall.

Recreations are available for purchase at its Etsy.com online store. This is Anar Couture’s approach to environmental friendly fashion practice, which is the designer’s one of the passion to contribute to our society and earth. Also, a portion of the proceeds from this eco-fashion project will be contributed to multiple sclerosis research through a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). Rana Ghezelayagh, Anar Couture’s Designer, had lost one family member to this serious disease. Rana eagers to dedicate Dressomorphosis™ project to NMSS research center for finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis disease.

Left: Recycled the fabric of one of the customer’s skirt and turn it into this beautiful strapless sheer top.The top is made of a very soft Indian sheer that has a little sliver flowers on it with brown cotton lining underneath. As you see it has elastic on top with an extra asymmetrical ruffled collar with is longer on the back and stretched with elastic gathering on the waist line. Right: This purse made from a recycled denim from a skirt that one of customer sent to Anar Couture. Tie-dyed it twice to give a sharper look. Added velcro for the opening of the bag and a 16-1/2" chain link for the handle and a little shiny silver chain for the belt and a bit of dazzle on it .
