This shot is edited (over exposed) so that the audience can clearly see that is is a flashback. Hand-held shot shows that Kieran and Matthew were once friends. This establishes the narrative.

The next close up shows the audience Matthew's emotions. Again, developing the narrative.

The over the shoulder shot of Matthew shows that now another character has appeared within the location. This makes the audience feel uneasy, yet intrigued.

The dialogue is brief in this shot but it then cuts to the sister (Amy) running down the road, anxious to find her lost brother. We used a long shot in order to show all the movement.

The next shot is a low angle shot showing Amy finding her brother's hat on the floor. It then shows Amy looking worried showing that she is uncertain and nervous.

An over the shoulder shot is then used for the dialogue between Amy and Matthew. This shows the audience the narrative and that Matthew is the only one who can see the unknown character.

A close up shot shows Amy confused, implying that she cannot see this other character.
