Analysis Procedures - GHR - Raymondi- iAK:
Volatiles Organics by Purge & Trap/G'CHS^-^^
The volatile compounds were analyzed for by GC/MS
using the EPA 624 Method as published in the Federal
Register of December 3, 1979.
Solvent Analysis by Direct Aqueous Injection (DAI)-GC
Solvents are screened for in aqueous samples by
injecting a 2 ul aliquot into a gas chromatograph equipped
with a 60/80 mesh Tenax column and a flame ionization
detector. Retention time and area of the unknovvTi peaks are
compared to the retention time and area of known peaks in a
standard solution to get tentative identification and
approximate concentration in parts per million by volume.
