Summary
Since the end of 2008, developing countries have begunto feel the full effects of the financial and
economic crisis. The global economic crisis was anenormous shock for developing countries and Worldtrade is experiencing its largest decline ingenerations. Foreign direct investment (FDI) andother private flows are also declining. Therefore,developing countries are not in strong position to
address the consequences of the current economiccrisis.
