Analysis• There is very little dialogue in the overall short film. The lack

of dialogue is supressed by the heightened use of the facial expressions and the religious symbols obviously used. (for example, the Star of David). Because of the use of these, the camera shots used are mainly close ups which help to show to the audience who is to be feared more (the gang in black). These close up shots help to emphasise the communication between characters so they know to attack and leave the train.

• Because of the nature of the film, the product would be suggested to be aimed at an older audience as they are more likely to be aware of race, cultural difference and themes such as racisms within religious events. This is a very mature theme which is used in a way to reflect racial crimes and fit to the genre of gangster, crime.

Analysis• The use of hand held camera reflects the fact that

the characters are on the train so the camera is more likely to be jolty. They make the proximity between the characters appear more awkward.

• The use of pans and close ups on the gangs make the gang. The use of the mise-en-scne being on a train heightens the tension because of the closeness of the characters so some characters appear more intimidating.

Analysis• The darkness of the lighting throughout the whole

piece represents the seriousness between the nature of the narrative and the genre of the film being rime, gangster, thriller. This enhances the suspense portrayed through the product and makes the audience appear more fearful of the gang as the dark lighting runs along side the appearance of the gang dressed in black. To increase the suspense, the religious chanting increases the tension. This is due to the fact the audience may not be entirely aware of what is happening in the chanting.
