MISE-EN-SCENEIn this photo the different aspects of mise – en – scene on show include lighting for a start. The way lighting is used is that it lights up certain parts of the room to give it a bit of life and colour. The costume used is also a bit different to what people normally wear so it suggest the person is unique and stands out from society.

The setting used is in quite a random room different from what you usually find so again it emphasises the person is different from everyone else.Furthermore the props used just seem to be different kinds of telescopes and binoculars. This suggests the man is looking for something which he cant’ find but desperately wants.

The setting here is on the main road . This kind of suggests that the people are confused and lost and aren’t sure where to go. The lighting also backs up this point as its very dull and boring .The costumes worn seen very weird and old. The long coats are very vintage and aren’t worn really anymore in society which again suggests that the people are a bit unique and different.

The lighting in the shot is very much based upon the the man in the photo and really lights him up.The setting looks like its at the top of some sort of tower and the way the man is standing there makes you think that he is in some sort of emotional state and his not sure if life is worth living anymore and his seriously contemplating taking his life.

EDITING

The editing in this shot is a fade from one shot to another. The editing here suggests that from the fading from one shot to another that the singer is going through a journey and is struggling to get through it.

CAMERA ANGLES, SHOTS AND MOVEMENT

This is an extreme close up shot of the man looking through some sort of binoculars/telescope.This shot suggests to the audience that the man may desperately looking for something and his looking everywhere for it.

This is a medium shot of the man at the top of the building. What this shot connotes is that the man is isolated from the rest of society as he is away from everyone else and isn’t trying to get involved. The shot could also suggest that the man is of importance as his at the very top of the building and this suggests that since his the highest he could be of the most importance.

This is a high angle shot of the band. This shot would suggest that the band are quite weak and perhaps playing music to up their confidence and become stronger.

As well as this it suggests that the band are unsure perhaps of what to do with their life's and music is the only thing that may eventually help them to be on a high.

This is another high angle shot but it was also a panning shot as well.

The shot perhaps makes the audience think that the person is looking up into the heavens looking for some advice and help.

The panning shot was showing the man spinning around in the chair. This shot suggests that the man is confused and unsure what to do (dizziness = confusion)

This shot is an establishing mid shot. The shot connotes that the band are quite different and unique ( playing music in a tunnel)

The establishing shot of the tunnel perhaps suggest the band are on a journey perhaps of self discovery and adventure and music is their inspiration and aid in getting through the journey.
