  • BackgroundOne in three of the worlds malnourished children lives in India.Lack of food access not the only cause, other factors, like access to health services, are at play.The present study is aimed at identifying and analyzing the various cases of malnutrition in the village of Khariya Patavatan.The scope is limited to children, aged 0 6 years, residing in Khariya Patavatan.

  • ObjectivesTo classify children in accordance with the level of malnutrition.To assess the impact of Anganwadis in checking the incidence of malnutrition in children.To acquire a caste-wise idea of malnutrition in children.

  • Coverage and SamplingVillage populace resides either in main Abadi land or Dhanis.Only the former was covered owing to accessibility issues with the latter.Unavailability of children during the time period of the survey posed a problem.Stratified random sampling technique was adopted with the intention of maximising coverage.
