How to Approve vacancies

Our recent CSAT survey results showed us that there has been a significantuptake in the use of our Vacancy Authorisation option as well as an increase insatisfaction for this feature

You can use this feature on NHS Jobs to support the approval of a vacancy tobe published online One or more approvers can be identified for a vacancy andonce the relevant vacancy details have been entered the system will move thevacancy to each of the approvers in turn

For those who are yet to use the vacancy authorisation feature we havecreated a step-by-step guide to assist you



Remember you can also use your training site to practice these features andsee how it works for you and the candidate

Update NHS Jobs application form changes

On 8 August 2019 as planned we successfully rolled out changes to allapplication forms These changes affected the safeguarding questions fitnessto practise section IAT consent and referee pre-employment improvements



We have had some queries in relation to how you would gatherconvictioncautionfinal warning information if the applicant requests to disclosethis information separately We are now looking to pull together some furtherguidance on this to support your recruitment journey and will keep you updatedvia the NHS Jobs latest news section and future NHS Jobs newsletters

Service enhancements Step Into Health reporting

Since 1st May 2019 organisations using NHS Jobs have had the ability toenable the question lsquoAre you a member of the Armed Forces communityrsquo forcandidates to tick An indicator will appear next to the applications with apositive response to the question and this indicator will remain with thecandidate throughout the recruitment process This feature also allowsorganisations to report on the volume and type of responses received

We are currently working with NHS Employers and CTP RightJob to identifyfurther ways to support the Step Into Health Programme - Senior ServiceDelivery Manager Melanie Crawford gives an insight into the serviceenhancements that are coming soon
