Franco Falcone (President) has been in the construction, building, millwork industry for over 25 years and has immense experience in all facets of the industry. From pub design, layout and customer liaison, retail office, concrete, high rise and commercial to project management on all of these!

Franco is a journeyman carpenter, cabinet maker, who, with his high standards and attention to detail handles customer liaison, pub layout and design, millwork design, glasswork, color and overall feel of the pubs. Dealings with the clients, architects and the trades are all part of the quality minded and schedule conscious relations that have to be part in part in the design and building of the perfect pub.

Doug Milton (Secretary Treasurer) has over 30 years of experience in the building industry specializing in custom millwork and all facets of fine finishing, millwork, design and build.

Doug is a journeyman cabinet maker and carpenter and with his high standards and attention to detail, he handles all the purchasing and building of the millwork and always keeps the project quality up to above industry standards. Doug is also ex-tremely schedule conscious. He prepares all the related trades to the millwork, such as glass, finishing hardware, etc. and ensures it’s safe shipping and easy installation to the pub owner.

John Marshall (Consulting Associate) has spent the past 29 years in the restaurant and pub industry specializing in the artifacts, bric-à-brac and decorative furnishings for theme restaurants and pubs. His travels have taken him abroad to find those special items. His experience has been invaluable in selecting furniture that is not only authentic, but is durable and reliable for restaurant use. Furniture manufacturers and lighting suppliers are aware of the high standards that Prairie Pacific Pubs insists upon for their clients.

About Us

We are an Irish Pub design and construction company staffed with experienced teams of fulltime and contract designers as well as construction experts that provide full turnkey service. These tried and tested team approaches to design and manufacturing work well in achieving the complete charm and feel of an Irish Pub. When refurbishing or creating a new Irish Pub we can supply all of the fixtures and furnishings or just pieces of architectural salvage that give your pub its own unique character. Some of the detail is designed and crafted in Ireland and shipped directly to your site and installed. All of our Irish pubs are 100% Irish in origin and have been cosmetically aged to look comfortably worn.

There are six different standard pub styles and each of them exudes its own special Irish atmosphere and ambiance.

The Country Cottage Pub is a complete replica of the original Irish pub from the heart of Irish history. The Traditional Pub is designed after the “Village Shops” of rural Ireland. The Victorian Pub is the classic Dublin Pub, elaborately designed and somewhat upscale. The Brewery Pub design is based on St. Jame’s Gate Brewery capturing the Guinness brewing heritage. The Gaelic Pub originates from medieval Ireland steeped with traditional art and extensive use of heavy woods, ironwork and a Celtic atmosphere. The Modern Irish Pub has a contemporary style but uses traditional Irish Pub concepts which are perfectly suited for developed metropolitan areas.

Since its inception in 1996, Prairie Pacific Pubs’ millwork has grown to be internationally recognized for its quality and has set new standards in the industry.

Our millwork department not only offers the finest in standard hardwood mouldings but will produce any custom shaped moulding to the authentic specifications set out in each and every diverse Irish Pub design. We use specific hardwoods to replicate the centuries old craftsmanship, but any hardwood is available at your request. Our dedication to detail ensures that great attention is given to the carved and filigreed woodwork. Custom stains and special polish finishes reflect the authenticity of exquisitely crafted timber pieces matured with time.

We use the newest technologies and equipment and detail-conscientious mill workers guarantee the rich heritage and atmosphere in your Irish Pub specific to your design choice. The end result is a pleasing palette of elaborate Irish Rust, Terra Cotta or custom stains over intense wood craftsmanship making the patina distinctive and welcoming.

Prairie Pacific Pubs artistically celebrates the cultural rebirth of the Irish tradition in its custom hardwood millwork inspired by work of the medieval village carpenter. In our pubs you will see pieces featuring elements such as carved knot work, handcrafted mouldings, architraves, gingerbread trim and corbels. Fireplace mantels, panels and mouldings allow you to touch and feel something that previously could only be experienced in Ireland. Jointers, planers, lathes and routers allow our master craftsmen to sculpt out wood that takes you back in history.

Millwork

Glass has the ability to affect all human emotions. Our craftsmen specialize in supporting that statement by fabricating custom glasswork that beautifully accents the environment. We have designed and fabricated glass art for a number of years, replicating the handcrafted stained glass and lead windows, doors, dividers and art pieces in the Irish pubs of the past. Our pieces are made up of variety of glass genres; stained, leaded and painted glass being the traditional methods. Incor-porating fused, slumped (bent), etched, and blown glass either individually or in a mixed media piece gives us the ability to give an air of excitement to each new project.

Custom glass artists use many techniques to produce whimsical works of art; designing, painting, staining, enameling, acid etching, beveling, sandblasting, glass bending, glass sculpting, fusing, restoration, lead came assembly, copper foil technique and faceted dalle de verre.

Prairie Pacific Pubs provides custom glass art for windows, doors, dividers, mirrors and signage in the pubs we build. We take considerable pride in the one-of-a-kind artwork that embellishes our projects. We offer the much sought after traditional ancient art of stained glass painting and staining that characterizes old Irish charm.

Furnishing an Irish Pub is much more than providing places to sit comfortably and enjoy a cold beer. We provide an endless choice of chairs, stools, benches, tables, bookshelves, stained glass and brass lamps. Whatever the design calls for we will find the antique or reproductions that are needed.

The majority of the furniture we use comes in a range of finishes which allows us to create the style and atmosphere suitable to the Irish Pub design you choose. We provide a broad range of styles, materials and finishes which will bring any of our pub designs to life while maintaining durability. All of our custom made pieces and furniture we source is manufactured to the highest standards by skilled craftsmen.

Prairie Pacific Pubs builds everything from distressed table tops to highly reflective and finished ones as well as sturdy Gaelic timber tops and tables with intricately carved edges. The bar tables we use in our Irish pubs are typically whimsical and traditionally Celtic.

We take Irish Pub seating seriously. The style and comfort of a chair is critical in providing an authentic and relaxing atmosphere whether it’s a sturdy Gaelic timber look or a highly-polished intricately-carved Victorian style seat.

With the intricately hand carved detailing or the distressed antiqued dark wood finish, the sophisticated beauty of our barstools assist in creating the perfect Irish Pub experience. Upholstry is coordinated with other furnishings or window coverings in the bar.

Furnishings

Bric-a-brac is a term used to describe miscellaneous curiosities and works of decorative art, considered collectively...an eclectic array of knick-knacks commonly of ornamental or sentimental value. Bric-à-brac is vital to the authentic detail in Irish Pubs and fills them with all of the warmth and charm that make them so successful. “Craic” is a Gaelic term that describes the desired feeling in an Irish Pub – good conversation and good times. The pub design must be authentic and every bit Ireland.

We have nurtured unlimited sources of original and reproduction, usual and unusual bric-a-brac. We provide statues and figurines, artifacts and antiques, posters, prints and metal signs as well as custom made sign reproductions.

Much care is taken in decor standards. For instance, two booths in a Victorian Irish Pub are called “snugs.” In Ireland, “snugs “ had doors and were the only place where woman were allowed to drink. Women are now, of course, welcomed in all areas of pubs but the “snugs” are so authentic that they remain in use to this day.

Much ado is given to artifacts, books, bookshelves, musical instruments, brewery related figurines, containers, and generally anything antique or otherwise that is authentic or a reproduction of the bric-à-brac one would find in the cozy neighborhood pubs of Ireland.
