Acetylene Torch Safety and Use

Info Part 1
We use acetylene torches.Acetylene – waaaay hotter than propane. (It
burns at around 6000 degrees F). It will melt metal. This is good.
Hairspray, perfume, breath spray, nail polish remover, alcohol, and many, many chemicals are flammable. Don’t use them in this room, please.

Safety
Turn off the tank when you finish using the station.Bleeding the line – After you finish using the torch,
you need to turn off the gas on the tank. Then, open the air intake and let the leftover gas in the hose seep out.
Please wear close-toed shoes when you are going to use the torches!
WHEN IT DOUBT, TURN OFF THE GAS.Tie your hair back.Don’t spray perfume, hairspray, or flammables
near the stations.
