An interactive story APPLICATION FOR APPLE, ANDROID AND BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK TOUCHPADS.

The storyApolline and Léon are curious, brave and endearing. They bring their exciting daily adventures to life.

The first episode ‘The Witch of the Tuileries’ is set in the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. The two children are intrigued by an old woman who looks like a witch. They decide to secretly follow her...

On every page of the book, the young reader is invited to read, listen,

and touch.

They can therefore shake clouds, steer boats, throw balls, play music,

switch off the lights or look through key holes.

Adrien Piffaretti, graduate from the prestigious Gobelins School in Paris, the application’s designer and lead developer tells us: My 6 year old daughter loves reading and I love technology. When the digital pads were at last put on the market last year, it seemed obvious that my studio would publish an interactive book for children. We are not competing with the traditional paper book. I myself read one to my children every evening. We only publish fun albums that combine Hi-tech and the love of reading.

Marion Piffaretti was the illustrator. She is a graduate from the ‘Emile Cohl’ art school in Lyon and she works for major publishing houses and youth press.

The studio also worked with profes-sionals of all nationalities for transla-tions, narrations, music and design.

The application was designed by an interactive development Studio.

The studio’s team of 3 used all their expertise to produce an application that

pleased children, by the story and the game, and parents, by the writing,

graphics and technology.

Application market, Smartphones and pads:We can no longer doubt the reality of the mobile phone application market.The world market was worth 7 Billion $ in 2010. This will be multiplied by 5 in 2015 to reach 35 Billion $.

Forecasts point to 250 million pads worldwide in 2015. As a comparison 350 million computers were sold this year.The pads will therefore be an integral part of our daily lives in coming years, just as computers and telephones are today.
