Hadimba Temple
Hadimba Temple will take you back in the 16th Century and the mesmerizing beauty will still
give you the jitters of the old souls. The temple is one of the primary spots of Shimla Manali
tourism, it is located in the woods of Deodar forest. The deity of the Hadimba Temple also
known as Dhungri Temple is the Goddess Hadimba who would take us to the mythology of
India. Goddess Hadimba is the wife of toughest of the Pandava Brothers, Bhim. It is described
by the oldies here as a meditation centre of the Goddess. The Goddess was indulged in
penitence due to which she was raised to the position of Durga (the Goddess of magnificent

Nehru Kund
As the name suggest this spring was named after the 1st PM of India, the Late Pandit
Jawaharlal Nehru. It was named so, as the Late PM would come to have a sip of this fresh and
thirst-quenching water whenever he visited Manali. The peaceful atmosphere created by the
water ghusing from Bhrigu Lake to form a spring. The Spring is located on the National
Highway, which leads to Leh. The Scenic beauty will never leave your eyes even if you walk
forward on the road.

Vashisht Temple
It is believed to be 4000 year old. Situated at a distance of 3.5km from Manali bus stand,
Vashisht temple is dedicated to the sage Vashisht, the kul-guru of Lord Rama. It is also famous
for it’s hot water spring which has a good amount of sulphur content. It is the most relaxing

Wildlife Park
The Manali Nature Park is located about 2 KM away from the town, this park came into formal
existence in year 1954. The lavish greenery of the park is spreading across 3180 hectares. It
consist of vivid variety of trees hence it has a large diverse wildlife. The wildlife attractions in this
sanctuary in Manali include Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer, Flying Fox, Striped Hyena,
Himalayan Tahr and Kashmir Flying Squirrels. There are also many Sparrows, Himalayan
Yellow Throated Martens in this sanctuary.

Bijli Mahadev Temple
One amongst the 7 lingas of Lord Shiva, situated at an elevation of 2,460 Meters. It is place to
trek and test your high spirited energy which comes from faith and culture. Legend has it that
the Linga was reduced to pieces due to frightful lightning for continuous 2 years. The pieces
were reset with the help of Ghee which was magical as there is no existence of crack in its form.
There exists a pool of water that manifested itself beneath the lingam. It also gives the view of
Sangam (confluence) of the river Parvati and Beas.

Arjuna Gufa
This cave located near the Village Prini is as old as the mythology of India. The Village reside
on the hill and woos us with it's charm. As the name suggests the Pandava Brother Arjuna
meditated and performed his penance for years in this cave, thus the cave got its name. Due to
this long penance he attained the Pashupata Ashtra, the weapon from the Hindu Lord Indra.
Whether one is a believer in legends or not the cave has it's own unique appeal.
