Newmarket Racecourses offers a unique and stylish conference & events venue situated in the heart of East

Anglia, close to Cambridge. Known primarily as the iconic Home of Horseracing, Newmarket Racecourses hosts a number of prestigious horseracing events each year including the QIPCO Guineas Festival and The Moët &

Chandon July Festival.

The Rowley Mile’s Millennium Grandstand was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 2000 and has hosted hundreds of successful conferences and public events for our clients since then. Our impressive venue offers flexible meeting space, modern indoor facilities, vast outdoor areas and

abundant free parking.

Our highly experienced Conference & Events team can help plan and deliver your event, whether it’s a small

meeting or large scale public event. They will work closely with trusted suppliers and our in-house catering team to

ensure your event exceeds your expectations.

CATERINGAs a Jockey Club racecourse we’re passionate about our catering offering and always ensure every attendee is well catered for. Our experienced team are knowledgeable about dietary and lifestyle choices and all the food we serve has an accompanying dietary sheet which can be viewed upon request.

Our new wraps and sandwiches are carefully selected to include plant based ingredients, making them a fresh vegan option. The light lunch sandwich package allows you to choose your sandwiches and two items from the finger buffet, perfect to make the right choices for your delegates.

NEWMARKET RACECOURSES GOING GREEN


The Jockey Club’s “Going Green” campaign was created to focus on looking after the environment and helping achieve our ambitious sustainability targets. We constantly review our initiatives

and embrace innovation to support us along the way.

The proportion of waste we recycle has increased annually, with 73% achieved

in 2018 and the remainder going to waste-to-energy plants.

We prioritise working with local suppliers, especially in catering to reduce food miles as well as working with local charities to ensure food can be appropriately redirected in the

event of excess.

We have made a big effort to remove single use plastic from our venue hire. Water is

supplied in refillable glass bottles that are attentively replenished throughout the day.

We also serve our mini salad pots in lettuce leaves and desserts in cups or glasses rather

than plastic pots.

CUTTING OUR CARBON EMISSIONS AND INVESTING IN RENEWABLES

We’ve embedded a simple switch off process at all sites – ensuring all lights, monitors, electrical equipment and heating is switched off when not in use.

In 2018 solar panels were installed at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse to ensure that the energy we use comes from clean and sustainable sources.
