AN EVENT YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IN SWITZERLAND, THE BEST OF AFRICAN TRENDS AND CREATIVITY TAKES OVER GENEVA ACROSS TWO DAYS THIS SPRING, IN AN EXCLUSIVE LOCATION
For its 3rd edition, Afrodyssée (ex-L’Afrique C’est Chic), comes back stronger and bigger in order to bring forward the best of African trends & creativity in the fields of fashion, design & craftsmanship.

Afrodyssée (ex-L’Afrique C’est Chic) is the not-to- be-missed spring event for people passionate about African creativity in fashion, design or crafts- manship. This 3rd edition will be a mix of vegetal and urban, this is why the event will take place in the exclusive location of Parc Barton (Rue de Lausanne 132, 1211 Geneva) with a unique sce-nography brought to life in collaboration with our partner Constructions Tubulaires Tech SA as well as our other partners the Graduate Institute and Lebara, on April 28th and 29th 2017.
It features a selection of the current players in African trends which include prominent, internatio- nal top designers from Africa and Europe. The event is considered as one of the 5 most influential events showcasing African creativity in Europe.
With its Grand Marché coming back and enrolling more than 40 renown and upcoming designers (Studio One Eighty Nine , De La Sébure, Naked Ape Style, I Am Isigo, Diwa, Dreadyy Lockseuse, Tisserand Dakar, Glam Ethnik and many more), this experience is proven to be a shopping paradise, offering exclusive items, amongst them some unique ones as well as other more modest but always being audacious and with high quality standards.
Afrodyssée’s motto is to position itself as a prime event to discover emerging talents, in collabora-tion with two powerful and international talent scouts and designers, Amah Ayivi (Le Marché Noir, Le Comptoir Général, Paris) and Fodé Sylla (Touba, London). They have been recruited to cherry pick exclusive collections presented at the Salon Trendy, an area dedicated to emerging talents.
Event highlight : the Fashion Show which will hap-pen every night at 2 0h 30, presenting a selection of key clothes, jewelry and accessories available at the Grand Marché and Salon Trendy.
Afrodyssée goes beyond those fields, offering its audience a cultural deep dive and artistic discovery, an exhibit with two African artists (Medhi Sefrioui, Momar Seck), film projection, African gastronomy with Chef Safiou Sirou for our VIPs guests as well as Palmarin restaurant for the public, a forum for debates and conferences with prestigious guests such as Rokhaya Diallo, Nassira El Moad-dem, Mona Chollet, Mémona Hintermann Aféjée within its program. To sum it up : Afrodyssée combines high quality, disruptiveness, creativity, shapes generosity, orig-inal materials, beautiful colors, innovative ideas, all those elements combined to bring to life a rich and relevant event, meeting the need of our very discerning and highly-selective audience.
