From Nancy Gallagher: What If

What if instead of complaining, comparing, putting ourselves down We lifted our spirit and gave thanks for all we’ve got and all we’ve done

What if instead of counting ways to criticize ourselves and finding reasons for why we aren’t good enough, we’d consider appreciating and celebrating

who we are and who we are becoming?

What if instead of reciting limiting belief such as,

“I’m too old, I'm not smart enough, I’m not educated, I’m afraid to fail,”

We’d detoxify our spirit offering ourselves a dosage of courage, hope and love?

What if instead of hiding in darkness we could walk out into the light

feeling happy about things we’ve done or things we’ve tried to do

especially when we know when doing them we’ve done our best

Dream another dream and take steps with confidence and pride

Realize your time is now and that you’ve only just begun

You are the “Godseed,” the same “Godseed’ that is in a blade of grass

caught between cracks of a concrete sidewalk

That tiny blade of grass that is strongly pulling itself through to the sunlight

You can remain young or you can grow old and die

You can choose action, interaction and make your dreams happen

You can honor yourself and love who you are

You can realize once and for all, you are the one you’ve been waiting for

Your time and your day is now, awaken to yourself, awaken to YOU!

to dictate and enforce human behavior to please the majority - because of your diversity,

it continues to be an uncomfortable struggle that, again and again, falls of its economic

SIMPLE STRESS MANAGEMENT FOR WORK AND HOME

w/Virginia R. Waldron, CH, CI

Wednesday, Nov. 1 & 8, 6-8 PM, $35.00 per person Holiday Stress? Stress Busters can help get you through the holidays without feeling overwhelmed. What is STRESS? It is the result of the mind believing there is a threat to the body. Stress is the effect of feeling in danger, feeling threatened. Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the ever-increasing de-mands of life. When your mind perceives a threat, it signals your body to release hormones to fuel your capacity for a response. This is known as the “Flight or Fight” syndrome. It is an important and natural survival instinct. Ideally, once the threat is gone, your body returns to its normal calm state. Whatever the mind believes, the body manifests or experiences. Which means, the nonstop stress and chaos of modern daily life keeps your stress alert system active most of the time This is why stress is one of the most common causes of a host of ills and suffering we experience today. What if you could make choices that would shut the alarms off, reduce the internal noise and return to the calm natural state your body was intended to function at , on a daily basis? The nine stress busters in this class can he you to do just that. In this class we will be talking about stress, what are the stresses in our lives, seen and unseen. We will list the short term and long term/chronic stresses we experience, the effect they have on us, body and mind. We will also explore ways to reduce and remove or resolve our stresses with nine techniques for stress management called stress busters, and even how to manage or cope with the ones we cannot change. Due to space limitations, attendance is limited to 8, so pre-registration is required. No walk-ins. To register, contact Virginia Waldron, at [email protected]. To hold your spot, send a check for $35 to Virginia Waldron, The RoseHeart Center, 5900 North Burdick St., ste 102C, East Syracuse, NY. 13057. The deadline to sign up is October 20th, 2017.

It is hoped that EVERYONE may share the privileges and responsibilities of making our meetings run smoothly and equitably. To help make this happen we have initiated these “sign up sheets” which we hope will ensure we each have an occasional opportunity to “take charge” of some aspect of our TPA meetings while allowing others the chance to chill out and enjoy being part of the group. These sheets consist of five categories:

1. Hosting- Those hosting TPA programs at their homes or at community sites graciously set up the space for the community potluck and the evening presentation. Our hosts set the scene for the entire evening. For them, the TPA meeting starts at 5:30 pm when their helpers (at least TWO) arrive to help them finish whatever tasks still need to be done. The TPA potluck begins at 6:00 pm. Hosts, purchase or use their own plates, cups, napkins and eating utensils for the potluck. TPA offers hosts $20 to help with their expenses.

2. Host Helpers Host - Helpers may be asked to set up tables, chairs, put out donation basket, welcome folks, hang up coats, place food on prepared tables etc. At the end of the evening, host-helpers work with their host to make sure their home or the community site where the meeting was held is left clean and is put back in the order in which it was found.

3. Facilitate the Community Meeting--This individual will be interrupting the one-on-one conversations taking place during dinner by calling together the group for a community meeting. Sometimes this isn’t easy - but it is important! The purpose of this valuable community time is to establish connections that individuals can follow up on at a later time. Thus, around 7:00 pm, this individual will call TPA to come together in a circle where he/she will:

a) warmly welcome and ask new participants experiencing TPA for the first time to introduce them-selves. Ask them to share who or what has brought you to TPA tonight?

b) ask for “big news” items relevant to ENTIRE group that have been gathered ahead of time - asking folks to keep them as to-the-point and as brief as possible.

c) ask if there is / are specific intentions for the optional closing circle that night.

FINALLY, ASK the group to come to silence and open the space for ANYONE who has a personal announcement, a thought, a feeling he /she wants to share with the group To help the facilitator stay within our time frame, a designated timekeeper will raise a hand or give a signal when 25 minutes are up. This leaves the facilitator 5 minutes to tie things up and offer thanks / gratitude to all who gathered together in TPA that evening. At 7:30, the facilitator will introduce the presenter and his / her topic.

4. Clean Up: - Usually there is a little break between the presentation and the closing circle. It is during this break that as many of us as possible join in with those who kindly signed up for clean up and begin this task. Those who sign up for clean up will stay with host until all folks leave making sure that TPA leaves this meeting space, “even better that we found it.”

5. Facilitate Closing Circle—This ritual offers a gentle, inspirational closing to the meeting. Let your own creative instincts guide your steps on how best to lead the closing circle. You may choose to read a poem, send healing thoughts to members who are ill, offer affirmations about the presenter’s theme - it is up to you. Of course, you may enlist the input of others as you guide the process.

You may want to make it clear that participation in the closing circle is optional, especially since several members travel a far distance to meetings and need to leave early. For those who must leave, offer them loving thoughts and prayers for their safe journeys home.

This interactive group exercise is a 1 ½ hour teaching tool that uses participatory education to raise awareness of the history of the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the part of the world now known as the United States. Through the use of meaningful quotes, and blankets that represent part of Turtle Island (the Western Hemisphere), we explore this shared history that most peo-ple rarely learn in traditional settings. We engage in a conversation about the European colonization of Turtle Island in order to deepen our understanding of the denial of Indigenous peoples' nationhood throughout U.S. History. When: Thursday, October 12, 2017, 7:00-8:30 pm – occasionally runs a bit over… Where: The Matilda Joslyn Gage Center for Social Justice Dialogue, 210 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, NY 13066 What to bring: An open mind and willingness to have meaningful conversation Cost: Free Registration is first come, first serve through the Gage Foundation, Call 637-9511 or email [email protected] to reserve your place in this wonderful program. Please leave your name and phone or email address. [Personal note from Sue Savion: I participated in this event two years ago and found it to be one of the most emotional and profound interactive activities I have ever done. I highly recommend it. You will get a very tangible grasp on what was done to the indigenous peoples in America.]

This month we celebrated the first anniversary of this special ritual. You may have read my announcements in the Transcender or heard me announcing this service in the meetings. Some of you have also attended. This time I want to explain a bit more about the ceremony and the reasoning behind it.

Aside from creeds and dogma, religion is also about ritual. There is something about the chants, the candles, the icons and images, the liturgical music, and in the case of the traditional mass, the ancient Latin words that take our focus away from the intellect and allow us to communicate with Spirit on a spiritual level.

Catholic and Protestant services offer ritual – but also teaching and preaching. My inspiration for the “Nonsectarian Latin Rite of Holy Communion” was born from a desire to experience this religious ritual in a setting that was only ritual. So I set about to create a litur-gy from the Latin Mass and Anglican Rite that focuses only on

prayer, the Words of Consecration, and the liturgical music – no lessons, no homilies, no confessions, no dogma, no requirements.

As you enter the venue, you are greeted by lit candles and soft Gregorian chanting. At the appointed time, the bell is rung and the procession starts with Cesar Franck’s Panis Angelicus as the Cross is brought in, the congregation and altar are incensed, and sprinkled with holy water. After the Kyrie and the Gloria, we pray for all people and for the world. The celebrants bow as the Sanctus is sung and genuflect as the sac-ramental host and wine are offered. As the Agnus Dei and Mozart’s Ave Verum are played, the communi-cants come forward to receive the Blessed Sacrament. The ceremony ends with Schubert’s Ave Maria and we have never failed to feel the Presence of Christ and the Blessed Mother in our midst.

Madis Senner's Upcoming Events

Earth Healers Gathering When: Saturday, October 21st, 11 AM Where: Dewitt & Jamesville Library, 5110 Jamesville Rd., Dewitt, NY 315-446-3578

For more information: http://motherearthprayers.blogspot.com FREE//DONATION

Earth Healers looks to educate about our dynamic relationship with Mother Earth to teach how to con-nect with Her and how to heal Her through hands-on experience. Our goal is to help people become stewards of the Earth. To empower them so that they have the knowledge to discern injuries and abuses done to our Mother Earth and how to heal them. Hopefully to become Keepers and watch over a particular place. This should be of interest to many of you being that this group is focused on spirituality and several of you are active in social justice. Have you ever thought about the mechanism of spiritual evolution and social change, the process, how it happens? The Emerald Tablet teaches “as above, so below,” implying that what goes in the physical world simi-larly occurs in the unseen world. We all know food and water (from Mother Earth) nourishes our physi-cal body and energy in the energy plane (Mother Earth) nourishes our energy body. (We see this with Reiki.) But what of our soul? How is it nourished? Better yet, is there enough soul-nourishing con-sciousness? Unfortunately, blockages and impediments abound. We cannot change the world, and our challenge is to transform ourselves, because Mother Earth is so ravaged. Earth Healers look to empower you and teach what you can do to make a better world and a better YOU by working with Mother Earth. If you have a pair of dowser’s L-Rods, bring them! Blessings, Madis Senner

Fractal Illumination Gathering

— with Sheila Applegate & Zac Hansen

Join Sheila Applegate and Zac Hansen in a profound and life elevating Adventure!

Fractal Illumination Ignites and Illuminates the Evolutionary Process Within.

The First phase~resembles cranial acupuncture, in which an illuminating beam of light penetrates the Neural Circuitry to release blocked memories and miss-beliefs. The Light harmonizes the two hemispheres of the brain, and ignites a higher con-sciousness.

The Second phase~ resembles cellular dialysis, releasing old cellular memories and upgrading cells to the Vibrant Light Particle frequency of the highest dimensionality (Vibrant New Earth/ Sirtar).

The Third phase~ focuses on the heart center, harmonizing this frequency with the body’s new frequen-cy thus creating an illuminating Fractal Field. This is a mere overview and each person’s experience is unique and perfect for their unfolding evolution.

Fractal Illumination gatherings are fluid in nature with layered effects. Here are a few of the key elements you can expect during your Fractal Illumination gathering; Multiple Fractal Illuminations Activations, Sup-portive healing environment, Guided Meditation, Intermissions for integration and relaxation, & Commu-nity experience and collaboration.

This is a mere overview and each person’s experience is unique and perfect for their unfolding evolution, though Fractal Illuminations are deeply personal to each individual, they are offered in group settings. The group setting offers additional supportive energy that amplifies the experience for each individual. These gatherings can be likened to mini-retreats.

Experience a heartfelt connection with Spirit as Spiritual Intuitive Coleen Shaughnessy shares messages of hope, healing, and joy from the other side in a gallery-style reading event. Coleen will use her clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient abilities to pass on messages directly from Spirit; for example, messages from Spirit Guides, loved ones who have crossed over, Angels, Ascended Masters, Fairies & Nature Spirits, and Animal Spirits. As a Spiritual Reader, Coleen's goal is to pass on Spirit messages as clearly as possible and to empower you by letting you know that Spirit will help you in any area of your life. Don’t miss out on this special event!

About Coleen~

Coleen is a natural spiritual intuitive who has been able to receive messages from Spirit since she was a small child. As an adult, after a profound near death experience, which seemed to increase all of her psy-chic abilities, she began doing spiritual readings for the public. She believes that love is always stronger than fear. Coleen has been interviewed for several newspapers, been on television and radio shows, and does gallery events where she gives lectures and does readings for people in the audience.

…….Michael Newman and Cathleen Kelly not only

hosted the last TPA meeting at their country home

near West Monroe, but they also invited in the mes-

sengers from the Pleiades to give us a strong mes-

sage about health and our own well-being. As many members

seemed to be experiencing some health issues recently, it was quite

natural to focus on receiving messages from our friendly neighbors

in space that would address these issues. Cathleen and Michael

shared the “duties,” with Cathleen channeling and Michael speaking

the messages. But before the main attraction, many of us had time

to walk the labyrinth (that Cathleen built all by herself many years ago before there was even a

house on their several acres of property). We also climbed the steps to tour the very new yoga stu-

dio. That’s not all! There were plenty of flowers and water features to view on the property as well. As

usual, John Verone’s delicious apple pie was a bit hit.

…….Though illness seemed to abound—even Nancy was under the weather for this event—we are

fortunate that none of us had to contend with hurricane conditions and flooding like so much of the

rest of the country.

…….A hurricane of a different sort came to town: Paul McCartney at the Carrier Dome was loved

and appreciated by Nancy and Dale and Sue. Every bit of his three hour concert was enjoyed. But

then finding one’s car afterwards was a bit of a task.

“The Harvest Moon glows round and bold,

In pumpkin shades outlined in gold,

Illuminating eerie forms,

Unnatural as a candied corn.

Beware what dare crawls up your sleeve,

For 'tis the night called Hallows Eve.”

― Richelle E. Goodrich, Making Wishes
