PEACE WELCA NEWS

Greetings

As we settle into our winter routine there are still many activities at church and the women of the church have

been busy.

Starting with the 1st Sunday we had a welcome brunch for Pastor Dan. Comments from members indicated

they enjoyed the idea of a brunch. Thank you to the workers and all that brought food. A special thank you

to Donna Grover, Katie Johnson and Marcia Koefod who got up early and made the delicious rolls.

Darcy Sorenson and Team 4 have been hard at work in January and for February, Marie Hoffman and Team 1

will be providing the many service areas that make our Sunday worship what it is.

Funeral Service for Richard Runningen was held with Team 2 serving the lunch. A Special thank you to Val

who did the calling and all that responded while Janet was out of town. Janet and Frank were back to assist

with serving.

We all enjoyed the beautiful decorations at Christmas headed up by Carol Koefod, Teresa Ohren and Candy

Catoe with helpers Catherine Koefod and Bobbie Anderson. They also packed them away for next year.

Thank you!

With the new year there is a slight reorganization to WELCA, and your books should be available soon. If

you know your team is coming up for serving call your team lead to volunteer. Please respond to their calls

so they know if they can count on your help or will need to go to the extra mile groups for help.

A special thank you to our 2020 team leads and new vice president. These individuals give a lot of their time

and effort to provide us with Sunday worship as we know it today as well as the special activities.

Team 1 will have 3 leads Marie Hoffman (February), Lynn Jensen (June) and Brenda Risbrudt (October).

Team 2 Frank and Janet Novak for March, July and November.

Team 3 Dee Holte for April, August and December

Team # 4 Russ & Darcy Sorenson, for January, May, September

Louise Lang has agreed to be our Vice President

I look forward to hearing from anyone with ideas or

concerns that the WELCA board should address.

God’s blessings to all in the coming year.

Dee Holte, WELCA President

With no meeting in Jan. Reminding you that the Grue Church Women will be meeting Feb.18th 2020 at

the Battle Lake Nursing Home to have Bible Study with our friends there at 1:30. Our lesson is on Dealing

with Fears. Psalm 71:1-13.(the Lord offers refuge to each of us.)

We will be deciding on our next lesson book at this meeting, we have only have one lesson left in this

book.

Remember the table of hand made items for sale at the church, hand made with Love. All proceeds will

go to help with repairs in the church. We thank you ahead of time....

Smile and shake your neighbors hand. They will pass it on..
