An angel lived among us,

A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness

And shared with us her love.

She cherished every moment With the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together,

Facing life with all its strife.

She loved her children dearly, Each one a different way,

Nestled close within her heart. Though, now, she's far away.

She's gone to live with Jesus.

But, she's here with us, today, Smiling down on every one of us,

And telling us she's okay.

We wish to warmly thank you for your comforting words,

prayers, support, and genuine acts of kindness in our time

of sadness. It has meant so much to our family.

May God bless and keep you always.

For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the

righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them

also that love his appearing.

II Timothy 4: 6-8 (KJV)

Willodean Bailey Wise was born October 26, 1935 in the Booker

Washington Heights Community of Columbia, South Carolina. She

was the daughter of the late Reverend Arthur B. and Mamie Gant

Bailey. She passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Palmetto

Health Richland in Columbia.

At an early age Willodean, joined St John Baptist Church and was

baptized by Reverend Booker Sears. She was a graduate from C.A.

Johnson High School. She later attended the Waverly School of

Beauty where she received her cosmetology degree. On March 13,

1994, she retired from the State of South Carolina.

Willodean will be remembered for her respectful, quiet, easy-going

manner.

She will be missed by her two daughters, Wynetta D. Wise and Debra

Fanning, both of Columbia, South Carolina; her son, Leroy Wise of

Winston Salem, North Carolina; one grandchild and four great-

grandchildren; two sisters, Mary B. Bucker of Greenwood, South

Carolina and Julia B. Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; as well as

several nephews, nieces, a host of other relatives, and many friends.

Oh, when I come to the end of my journey weary of life and the

battle is won. Caring the staff and the cross of redemption. He

understands sand says, “Well done.”

If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear.

Though you may not understand

why I'm no longer here.

Remember my spirit, that's the real me.

I'm still very much alive, oh, if you could only see!

I've beheld our Father's face.

I've touched my Savior's hand.

The angels all rejoiced as I entered

the Promised Land.

Beyond the gates of pearl, I walk on golden streets.

I've touched the walls of jasper,

dipped my foot in the crystal sea.

The beauty is beyond words, nothing can compare.

I've even seen your mansion;

someday I will meet you there.

Allow Jesus to be your guide,

His word will show you the way.

So, please, don't cry! We will meet again someday!
