Statements of problems of this research are: Whatare the expressions of locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary actsexpressed in the utterances spoken by Oprah in The Oprah Winfrey Show inepisode interview with J.K Rowling? What are the types of illocutionary acts thatused by Oprah in The Oprah Winfrey Show in episode interview with J.KRowling?And What is the most frequent type of the illocutionary acts used byOprah in The Oprah Winfrey Show in interview with J.K Rowling?

This research design is qualitative research. The subject of this research isOprah as a host in The Oprah Winfrey Show when interviewing J.K Rowling. Theobject of this research are locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts thatused by Oprah. In order to collect the data, the writer uses some techniques:watching the show, identifying the script, tabulating the data, and concluding thedata.

Based on the analysis, the writer found 102 data that related tolocutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary acts in the Oprah’s utterance.Among those 102 data the writer found 22 data of locutionary act, 80 data ofillocutionary act, and 94 data of perlocutionary act. From 80 data of illocutionaryact, Oprah uses 67 directive types, 7 assertive types, and 6 expressive types.

the oprah wonfrey show. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah:apa sajaekspresi tindak lokusi, ilokusi dan perlokusi yang di ucapkan oleh Oprah dalamthe oprah winfrey show ketika mewanwancarai J.K Rowling, apa saja tipe-tipetindak ilokusi yang di gunakan oleh Oprah dalam the oprah winfrey show ketikamewawancarai J.K Rowling dan tipe ilokusi apa yang paling sering di gunakanoleh Oprah dalam the Oprah Winfrey show ketika mewawancarai J.K Rowling.

Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitianini adalah Oprah sebagai pembawa acara The Oprah Winfrey Show ketikamewawancarai J.K Rowling. Objek penelitian ini adalah tindak lokusi, ilokusidan perlokusi yang digunakan oleh Oprah. Dalam rangka mengumpulkan datapeneliti menggunakanbeberapatehnikyaitumenonton acara, mengidentifikasiskrip, mentabulasi data dan menyimpulkan data.

Berdasarkan analisis, penulis menemukan ada 102 data yangberhubungan dengan tindak lokusi, ilokusi dan perlokusi dalam ucapan Oprah.Dari 102 data tersebut penulis menemukan 22 data tindak lokusi, 80 data tindakilokusi, dan 94 tindak perlokusi. Dari 80 data tindak ilokusi Oprah menggunakan67 tipe direktif, 7 tipe asertif dan 6 tipe ekspresif.
