Amrit Bindu is a traditional home remedy based on traditional healing knowledge passedon from one generation to another. Traditionally used for colds, sinus, fever and stomachindigestion.

This would be done by a traditional aushadi-shalaorvillage pharmacy. You can also become a carrier of traditional health traditions by usingthe Amrit Bindu mixture to make variants for different uses. Experiment with balms ( madewith cow ghee or Vaseline), pain relief oils (mix with mustard, coconut and other locallyavailable oils), gripe water (mix with organic thickened sugar or palm sugar crystals).

Household remedies are first-aid measures and used as prophylactics (prevent an illness).

Do not use these to treat an illness or the sick. Always consult a medical doctor or an

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) at a primary health centre for treatment.
