Help Us Enforce Safety Procedures Early Departures During School Day: Please let Mrs. Graciela know as soon as possible when your child is to leave school before the regular dismissal time. Your child will be waiting to be picked up in the Charter office with advance notice. The school will not release a child to anyone other than the parent, legal guardian, or adult listed on the school record. PUENTE Charter School encourages all doctor and dental appointments be made after the instructional day has ended. Late Arriving Students: If your child arrives after 7:45 a.m., s/he is late. If your child arrives after the morning assembly, the hallway doors in the children’s wings will be locked for safety purposes.

Halloween can sometimes be a frightening holiday for young children but there are several events and places to visit around our beautiful city that your children may enjoy! October 31, 2018 Trick or Treat! 1300 Carroll Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90027 This street in Angelino Heights is full of Victorian style mansions that were built in the 18th Century. This is a perfect trick-or-treating neighborhood for children! Families will delight to see the beautifully decorated Victorian style mansions on this street. Be sure to visit nearby Douglas Street and Kendall Street that also showcase beautiful Victorian and craftsman style architecture.

Wednesday, October 31, 2018 Free Scary Face Pancakes on Halloween! Stop by your local IHOP restaurant on Wednesday October 31 from 7 am to 10 pm to receive a free Scary Face Pancake at participating restaurants! “Dia de los Muertos” or Day of the Dead is the Mexican celebration of All Souls Day with a history that goes back to indigenous roots. Traditions include caring for the graves of family members, building elaborate altars to loved ones who have passed on and respectful celebrations of the dead with processions, dances and music. Here are a few events happening in our neighborhood! Events below are for all ages and free, unless otherwise noted.
