The new 6-axis G2 Motion Control Sensor is not only a 3-axis magnetic sensor, but also a 3-axis acceleration

sensor. It comes with its own microcomputer increasing accuracy and processing speed in measuring 3D attitude in

all directions tenfold compared to the previous 5-axis sensor. Furthermore, it includes a temperature sensor

enabling stable operation from -20 ℃ to 80℃, an 12bitA/D converter and onboard RAM/ROM memory for storing

data such as calibration values. Due to its autonomously processing microcomputer and I²C-Output the sensor

offers an universal platform for application developers.

New MI Sensor well suited to use in automobiles with a dynamic range expanded to ±30 Gauss. Due to improvement in the wire turn density of the pick-up coil and miniaturization of the element, this sensor achieves a range ten times wider than that of conventional MI Sensors and 1/3 downsizing. Downsizing also contributes to lower cost. Two types are available, with range ±30 Gauss or ±10 Gauss.

Aichi Micro Intelligent CorporationAichi Micro Intelligent Corporation is developing magnetic sensing systems that apply the Amorphous MI Sensor, a new magnetic sensor.

Aichi Steel Corporation

■As part of the Toyota Group, a Steel Production Division was established at Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. in 1934 with the goal of research and development of specialty steel indispensable to the domestic production of automobiles. In 1940 the Steel Production Division became an independent company, inaugurated as “Toyota Steel”, which was later renamed “Aichi Steel”.

In recent years, Aichi Steel has also focused on the development of electromagnetic products, commercializing such products as MI sensors, magnetic dental attachments and plastic magnets, and advancing the development of target markets, including the fields of dentistry and information.
