The Proclamation of 1763

  • King George III signed the Proclamation of 1763.

3. This stated that any English Settlement was forbidden west of the Appalachian Mountains. 4. Those who already reside there were to pack up and return east so the situation with the Natives wasnt so tense. This is the number one in our presentation because this deepened the Settlers frustration with the King. And lessened the amount of land the Settlers could control.
5. The Boston Tea Party (1773)

Ha-ha, just kidding! Its not this kind of tea party!

  • This is when the Sons of Liberty dressed up as a certain kind of native and boarded three different British Ships

6. The Beaver 7. The Eleanor 8. The Dartmouth 9. They then took all the tea from those ships, and dumped forty-five tons of tea into the Boston Harbor. Our reason for this being number two is because these Sons of Liberty were testing their limits and showing the British Government how independent and rebellious they can be for their freedom.

The Stamp Act of 1764

  • In March, the parliament imposed the first direct tax on the American colonies by passing the Stamp Act.

11. This would be for offsetting the high costs of the British Military in America. 12. For the first time in 150 years the Americans will pay tax not to their own local legislatures in America, but directly to England. This is number three on our presentation because this act made the Americans cut ties from the American legislation and create ties to the people they were very frustrated with.
13. Boston Massacre (1770)

  • Many people harassed the British soldiers, know one knows in what way exactly.

14. The British soldiers then decided to show the crowd how in power they wereand they fired straight into the crowd. 15. This instantly killed three people, lethally hurting two others, and injuring six.Thistime, the British showed the Americans who is really in control, and they stirred anger in many Americans hearts.

The French and Indian War (1754-1763)

  • The French and Indian War is the common U.S. name for the war between Great Britain and France in North America from 1754 to 1763.

17. In 1756 the war exploded into the global disagreement known as the Seven Years' War.This was the last in our presentation because all the British harassment, and killings have been egging on the French, along with some Natives, to this point. The Seven Years War.
