DAY 1 Home / Galesburg Today will be a driving day. Evening Accommodations at Country Inn & Suites DAY 2 Galesburg / Springfield In Ohio we have a guided tour of the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. Evening Accommodations at Fairfield Inn * Breakfast Included DAY 3 Springfield / Gettysburg We arrive in Gettysburg today to begin our historic East Coast tour. Evening Accommodations at Quality Inn Gettysburg Motor Lodge * Breakfast Included DAY 4 Gettysburg / Washington DC This morning we visit the Gettysburg National Park. Our visit includes a Cyclorama, Museum and a guided battlefield tour. A guided tour of Mount Vernon will complete the day. DAY 5 Washington DC Our entire day is spent with an experienced DC travel guide. Just a few of the top sites seen on the tour are the Lincoln, Korean and Vietnam Memorials, the White House, Kennedy Center, and Pentagon Memorial. Evening Accommodations at Hampton Inn Reagan National * Breakfast Included DAY 6 Washington DC Our DC guide takes us again to visit the most notable sites in DC. Included today is a walk through of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court Building. After lunch at the Capitol Visitor Center, we have time to explore the Holocaust Memorial Museum. DAY 7 Washington DC This morning we will do a walk through of the lower level of the Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception. Free time will then be given for those wishing to attend Mass at the Basilica. Later ample time will be given for a self-guided tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and National Museum of Natural History. A tour of the Washington Monument, followed by the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, conclude our tour. Other options for today may include the Smithsonian Castle, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden or the United States Botanical Garden. After dinner we take a Lighted City Tour. DAY 8 Arlington / Baltimore In Annapolis, we start with a guided tour of the US Naval Academy. Later, in Baltimore, we enjoy a harbor cruise allowing us to see such historic sites as Fort McHenry and Key Bridge. Evening Accommodations at Days Inn * Breakfast Included DAY 9 Baltimore We are at Fort McHenry this morning with time to explore on your own followed by an informative presentation by the Park Ranger. Our afternoon includes fully guided tours of the Star Spangled Flag House and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption. On the US Constellation, you can explore at your leisure or do a self-guided audio tour. Evening Accommodations at Days Inn * Breakfast Included DAY 10 Baltimore / Canfield The Antietam National Battlefield is our activity for the day and includes a guided tour of the cemetery, battlefield and then free time to visit the museum. There will be a welcome reception at the hotel prior to dinner. In Iowa we visit Villa Comagena for authentic European hospitality.
