Amboise Painting Holidays offer artists of all levels the chance

to learn new techniques and styles in a wonderful setting in

the beautiful Provencal region of the Var.

Located on the border of the Var and the Alpes Maritime, the

area was a favourite of some of the greatest painters and

sculptors of the world.

The climate and vivid colours of the Mediterranean attracted

many famous artists during the 19th and 20th centuries

including Paul Cézanne ,

Marc Chagall , Henri Matisse , Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso

many of whom made their permanent home here.

Amboise painting holidays are designed to not only provide you

with tuition with our resident artist but give you a taste of what

the famous artists loved so much about this vibrant part of

France. We know that you will adore the mountain top villages

and enjoy the ambiance and relaxed atmosphere of your

accommodation.

Regular flights are available from many regional airports from

the UK and unlike the UK the climate in the region affords itself

to the winter months being warm during the daytime with

September averages of 24c , October 21c November 18c and

the months of February, March and April are also mild with

long hours of sunshine.

Stella's relaxed teaching method is

wonderful. We always end up in

fits of laughter. She has helped me

and always has such wonderfully

positive thing to say Matthew Webdale

achievement when painting It is a

wonderful escape from the

pressures of life. Becoming totally
