VENUS IS… 7522 miles in diameter .82 times the mass of Earth 67 million miles from the Sun Because Venus has no ozone layer,
the Sun’s UV rays can reach its surface.
INTERESTING STUFF Every 243 days, Venus has made one
rotation. Can you believe that its day is longer than its year?! Its year is 224 days.
MORE INFORMATION It is the “hottest planet in” our “Solar
System.” It “is the sixth largest planet in the
Solar System.” The atmosphere on Venus is mainly
made up of Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide. Carbon dioxide is what makes it so hot!
WHO IS VENUS??? Venus is a truly amazing planet that is commonly referred to as Earth’s twin sister.
EXPLORATION It is thought that Venus might have
had bodies of water like Earth about 300 million years ago.
It has mountains that are taller than Earth’s mountains!
VENUS’S ATMOSPHERE Venus is the most explored planet
besides Earth. Its clouds are filled with sulfuric acid. Venus’s atmosphere is incredibly
thick.
EVEN MORE INFORMATION Venus is named after the Greek goddess of love and beauty. The planet is reddish- orange, so it definitely works out.
VENUS ATTITUDE How do you think Venus would seem
as a person?? With Venus being red and full of volcanoes, I think a good word to describe it would be intense.
WHAT WOULD YODA DO? We all know that Yoda would say, “Be
you must genius, to live on Venus,” with his elderly, raspy vocal chords.
