Ambe Steels P. Ltd. was established in September 2009 in Lumbini zone at Gonaha VDC, nearby Bhairahawa city. It has been set up to manufacture TMT steel bars as well as other steel products using HSE Gmbh Thermex technology of Germany. We have always tried to provide the best products and service to our valued clients and users and we are constantly upgrading our equipments and technology to be a pioneer manufacturer by adopting latest changes in technology. Due to our sophisticated mill with high tech thermex the latest version of Nepal, all the bars have been manufactured in uniform and proper shape with accurate dimensions. We have already achieved NS (191) certification mark for our product that also conforms to other international standards. Our AMBE brand TMT bars has gained popularity within a short period and is recognized for its best quality among others available in market. Our Ambe TMT bars has gained popularity within a short period and is well recognized for its superior quality in comparison to others available in the market. Ambe Group was incorporated in 1975 AD with the sole aim of providing quality products in the market. The group of initiated and envisioned by a strong team of entrepreneurs has progressed continually since its initiation. Due to the overwhelming response for our OPC/PPC Grade Ambe Cements from our valued customer we have been prompted to establish TMT Bar mill in Nepal. We have been constantly diversifying our activities by implementing state-of-the-art technology with the best effort from our experienced staffs.

1. Ambe Steel - Thermex TMT Bars
TMT is an acronym for the phrase "Thermo-Mechanical Treatment".
During the last few years the civil engineering sector has increased its demand for low cost reinforcing steel bars with a guaranteed yield point of 500N/mm2.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
Quenching:
The hot rolled bar that leaves the final mill stand is rapidly quenched by a special water spray system. This hardens the surface of the bar to a depth optimized for each section through the
formation of martens tic rim. The core remains hot and austenitic.

Self Tempering:
When the bar leaves the quenching box, the core remains hot compared to the surface. The core allows heat to flow to the surface tempering the outer martens tic layer into a structure called Tempered Marten site. The core still remains austenitic at this stage.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
Atmospheric Cooling:
This takes place on the cooling bed where the austenitic core is transformed into a ductile ferrite pearlite structure. The final structure consists of an optimum combination of a strong outer layer (Tempered Marten site) with ductile core (ferrite-pearlite). This gives Ambe TMT its unique combination of strength and ductility.
