AMAZING ROYAL INDIA, 9 DAYS - ITINERARY

DAY 1 - 11th September Arrival to Delhi at 3:30 am. Transfer to the hotel and taking a rest. (It will be needed to pay for the hotel from 10th Sep to have the room availability from 4:00 am on 11th Sep. We will try to do our best to pay half day price. But the big hotels never agree for that.) In the afternoon, drive around the Parliament House & India Gate. Old Delhi overflows with people from all walks of life, crowded bazaars and winding alleys. You will visit the imposing Red Fort and Jama Masjid to view the excellence of Mughal architecture. Shop until you drop and try your bargain skills in New Delhi’s many shopping complexes. Learn about Mahatma Gandhi in his Memorial Centre (if time permits). Overnight in Delhi

DAY 2 - 12th September Breakfast Leave for Agra at 8:30 (3.5 hrs. drive). Check in to hotel. After lunch visit Taj Mahal, later in the afternoon view the sunset. The most amazing sunset you'll ever see! Taj Mahal is surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created, 20 000 men laboured on it for over seventeen years. It was comissioned by Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his third wife who died in 1631. Begun in 1632 and completed in 1653, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the eight wonders of the world. Also visit the majestic Red Fort, where marble pavilions with floral inlays create a stunning ambience. Overnight in Agra

DAY 3 - 13th September Leave for Jaipur, the ”Pink City”, after breakfast via Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century deserted red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar as his capital . Overnight in Jaipur

DAY 4 - 14th September Widely known as the 'Pink City', Jaipur was colour washed to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria in 1883. The city was founded in 1727 and is sub-divided into nine rectangular sectors symbolizing the nine divisions of universe. The city still exudes a magical old world charm; an aroma of chivalry and romance is evident everywhere. Experience an unforgettable ride on decorated elephant-back, to the Amber Fort which houses the magnificent Marble Palace, Temple of Victory, and Hall of Mirrors. Later visit the City Palace, home of the present Maharaja. Overnight in Jaipur

DAY 5 - 15th September Breakfast At approx. 11:00 am flight from Jaipur to Delhi. 2,5 hours stopover in Delhi, change airlines. Further flight to Amritsar. (Later we will provide you with exact timings and flight details.) Approx. 4:30 pm reaching Amritsar. Checking in to the hotel. In the evening visiting the Golden Temple. Overnight in Amritsar

DAY 6 - 16th September Breakfast After breakfast proceed to visit the World famous Golden Temple. The shrine houses the holy script of the Guru Granth Sahib and draws its name from the gold-laden dome upon a marble base. Inside lies the holy lake. The Golden Temple is one of the most revered religious sites in the country. Traditionally known as the Harmandir Sahib or the temple of Hari, the Supreme God, the temple gets its name from its gold plated structure. Most people take up Amritsar Tours just to visit this holy place. The shrine is magnificent and exudes an air of spirituality. The pond inside the temple complex is also sacred. A dip in the pond is necessary before entering the temple. Later, if time permits, visiting also Jallianwala Bag (this historical site commemorates one of the most gruesome acts of mass killing committed by the British during India’s struggle for independence) and/or Wagha Border - International border between India & Pakistan. Overnight in Amritsar

DAY 7 - 17th September Breakfast After breakfast drive 80 km to Jalandhar. Visiting relatives and next going to the Chint Poorni Mata. Drive back to Amritsar in the evening. Overnight in Amritsar

DAY 8 - 18th September Breakfast After breakfast Flight back from Amritsar to Delhi. In Delhi free time for shopping, etc. Overnight in Delhi

DAY 9 - 19th September Departure from Delhi at 5:00 am.
