The Main Scene

• It is of a wedding procession, (as the name indicates). The couple and the best man sit in the cart. This cart is pulled by donkeys.

• The first cart is followed by a cart draw my mules, which contains 3 men.

• Both carts are drawn by two women and a man. The front most woman leading the carts carries two torches, which indicates that this happening late in the evening.

• The procession is heading towards a house (most likely the groom and bride’s house). There is a woman waiting inside the doorway, possibly the mother of either the bride or groom.

Shoulder

• On the shoulder there are three women holding hands, with a man playing a musical instrument (Lyre) facing them.

• This is followed by three more women facing him.

• This is followed by another man with an instrument (Double flute) with three women facing him.

• This links to the main scene for the women appear to me singing and dancing, and thus are joining in with the procession.
